Aside from the Superhero flicks...

Cowboys & Aliens (That trailer...)

Super 8

Yeah, those are my big two right now, too. Cowboys & Aliens is probably going to be one of the most fun movies this year, and Super 8's premise is really intriguing.

Sharp Sticks

Cowboys & Aliens. And that's it.

Quote from: Le Celticant on Apr 14, 2011, 06:10:00 PM-Prometheus, because I love giger's art.
-Super 8, because he knows how to turns movie to something decent.
-The hobbit, because Peter will always remain in my heart with the way he directs everything and the fact he's completely against this draining money machine called Hollywood.

Everything else is just... too hollywoodish with codes, rules, marketing aim, money to drain. And since it's all about adaptation (comic, book, short stories), prequel, sequel, remake, reboot I don't need those to teach me what kind of movies made me like the cinema, especially when it's about a Conan remake, so many marvel / DC sh*t with so much déjà vue in and cliché.

Prometheus is pretty much an Alien prequel and The Hobbit is an adaption. :P

99% of the movies are sequel/prequel/remake/reboot.
Still, there are movies I want to see, not because they'll be unique, but because I may see an interest as VFX for example.
But hey thank you captain obvious, I learnt today that Prometheus will be 'pretty much' an Alien prequel and that the Hobbit will be an adaptation of a book from some JRRT.  ::)

My point was that it seems somewhat pointless complaining about "everything else" being an adaption or a prequel when two of the movies you listed yourself is exactly that.

IF the two movies I listed are adaptation / prequel... it's also probably because there's almost only prequel / adaptation.  ::)
Anyway, I understand what you mean, those are the only movie that I want to watch.
