Cos' they have full pics of her on the site. So people that are looking forward to it, are probably now even more so. I guess they probably wanted it to be a suprise for the average movie-goer, but marketing a new creature would bring in loads more people.

Orly? The predalien is the only thing they've really been marketing about this film.  :-\

Maybe because it's ugly as hell?

predalien is not as it should be. Straus and FOX know it from froums like this one. They don`t want to scare movie goers.

the whole franchise has not been as it should be for 15 years.

Overall any AVP advertising should try and capitalize on the iconic villiains of the franchise. The predalien is hardly iconic, in fact it's barely recognizable.

No,cuz it's just a hybrid.
A little Predator and much more Alien.
That's why it is marked so much.

KARHAN

it would ruin the suprise for the general viewers

The Chibi Kiriyama

This thing will definitely find itself iin critic reviews, so if you're looking for publicity (that will probably not be positive) it'll be getting enough of that.

They published an article in USA today that was primarily about the PredAlien, complete with several clear pictures online (and seem to be planning something similar in the upcoming Fangoria). Both Sideshow and NECA have released multiple pics of their PredAlien maquette/action figure,  and the photo gallery on the official site only contains pics of the PredAlien thus far. And this is all well before the films comes out. It doesn't seem Fox is being shy about marketing their "creation"...
