it sounds like you've run out of XP's, you've got to get your numbers up before you go in the tournament, try creating a new account and play the qualifiers first to rack up your XP's and then go for a prize tournament.
My XPs are fine, I was just offering a possible solution to Hicks' problem.
Has anyone else had the game freeze of them? I missed two questions in one round, and when I refreshed, I rejoined the game where I was supposed to be up to at that point. Shaker beat me to first place, the dastard! ;)

It's good.
The multiplayer element makes it a bit more fun. Otherwise, I usually only do trivia for a short while.
And the questions are fairly good. Some easy ones, some hard, but nothing too crazy one way or the other. (I'd say a good 80% of the questions should be answerable by any self-respecting fan. ;) )
Anyway, three minutes to go...fingers crossed I don't get frozen during the tournament play. :)
Ha. Took me 11 questions to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do and still ended up winning the thing. Can't believe I'm meant to be tech savvy. It is pretty fun. I'm posting it up now.
I had a hard time with the cult questions but that's 'cause I haven't read most of the comics I got the questions on. Still managed to come 2nd though! woot.

I haven't. I came 3rd on a poster comp. Grr. Failed on the first question which incidentally, I need to complain about. It was about Predator cloaking in P2. Or more accurately, how Keyes phrased it. He said it bent light, none of which had that option.
And the 19th question, I think, was Who is NOT a member of the Betty's crew. It gave the option Purvis and Golic. I didn't see Golic, saw Purvis. Who isn't actually a member of the Betty's crew. So...some of the questions might need looking at.

Well I haven't had any badly done questions yet. But I'll keep my eyes open on there for recurring ones mentioned here and report them if no one else gets a chance.

Twice now I've been cut out in the middle of a quiz. First time the issue was on their side, but I still managed to win an AVP Cult match after missing 11 questions because everyone else got eliminated. Just then I was going against you Hicks and my modem decided to do its infrequent time-out thing. Frustrating!

UPDATE: Christ, I almost had a heart attack in that prize match just then! At Question 11 I got some weird error message on the website and couldn't get back in until Question 16, but somehow I was still in first place. Did it happen to everyone?

This trivia is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Then again, I didn't expect to have to answer questions about the actors/actresses.
The way I'm losing, I'm beginning to think I'm not gonna manage to win a poster. Especially going up against some of the same people who are always on top.

Regarding the issue where you can only click on the Grand Final - It is caused by a lag in getting your XP balance (you'll notice when it happens that it says 0 XP in the lower right hand side). There should shortly be a splash screen shown to notify you that the game is rerieving your balance.
In the mean while, just be patient and you should be able to click on the other games as soon as the XP balance shows up. Other wise you could try just refreshing the page in your browser.

I managed to snag another poster yesterday, which means I've won both the AVP Movie and AVP Cult sections. I went for a third time in movie but only came third, which is probably for the best because I really don't want all these posters for myself.

The possible answers were Jamaican, Mexican, Columbian and something I don't remember. Anyway, I answered Columbian, of course, only to find that it said I was wrong and that they were Jamaican...

Seems there's been a lot of questions going wrong on the quiz.
I've seen a couple questions myself that I found were wrong when I went back through and checked them. One of them lost me a poster, which was upsetting since I STILL haven't managed to get ONE. I'm always coming in behind the same two people, and that frustration keeps throwing me completely off...
I've toyed with the idea of putting a piece of paper over my screen where the live ranking shows up, but I hardly need to now. Maybe you should try it though? It might help you focus on the questions and your own game rather than distracting you and making you nervous.

Edit: Gave it a try, my nerves were definitely better, though I did have a couple times that my mind went completely blank. I still only finished at 7th...

Yeah I noticed. The irony of putting paper over the opposition screen on the first match I happened to be going against you... :-[ I ended up going from 5th to 3rd on the last question. Keep trying though!
If you see questions which you think are wrong then there is a an icon towards the lower right of the question area which looks like an exclamation mark in a triangle - click it to report the question and it will be investigated.

The problem with that is the reporting icon disappears once the correct answer has been confirmed, giving you no opportunity to do so.
Why not just change it to "Which of these was personal of Firoina 161?". Sheerly because personal could mean inmate or warden etc.

It's the fast pace of the quiz that does me. The last quiz I threw away two questions because of wanting to get the x2 bonus and the time placement.
Well it's no accident that I've won three out of my four posters from the AVP Cult matches. Where the Movie quiz is essentially a battle of reflexes, where you're often out of it if you miss even one question, the Cult matches are much more about strategy. Often you'll have around half the contestants eliminated by the end of the match, sometimes more, so it's much more a matter of picking which questions to go for, when to pass, and when to risk a lower amount on something you aren't sure about in order to stay in the game.

This quiz might be a rip-off to get you using their product.
I came first in a prize game, to which you are supposed to win a Limited Edition Poster.
Its been two days now and still no confirmation email/Prize form.
How is it a rip-off when it's completely free? Don't fret about the e-mail, it may take a couple of days but it does come eventually.
What benefit do they get from us taking a free quiz?
As for the e-mail, I think it was said somewhere else here that it could take up to like 72 hours to get it. I don't know as I still haven't managed to win one, but I think I saw that.

I would have wanted to try for the Alien Queen statue, and all I'd have done is had it on display somewhere safe. I thought they looked great from the pictures.
But I would never have managed the final. I'm not THAT good at ANY kind of trivia. My mind blanks a lot XD
I figure I'll just work on learning some of it and keep an eye out for if they do another. I'm only just getting to branch out from the movies to books and other such things, so maybe if they come back with another at some point in the future, I'll be ready.

But the two of us pretty much pwned the competition, so we did still did great. Well. Take some pictures of the predator statue, maybe it looks good after all. You could try selling it on ebay or predatorstuff.com tho. Seeing how BIG it is, it'd prolly fetch a good sum!
