The Fugitive Predator is looking pretty dang cool unmasked here on the bust! I can dig this look with all of the details & the mandibles even look better the way they are closed here too.

The fact there's an alternate, damaged mask seems to confirm the multiple Predators theory. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume the scratched mask is worn by the "main"(captured?) Predator to differentiate him from the others, since their armour is more "military" than hjnter,and therefore more uniform.

We do see the scratched mask in the trailer, Holbrook finds it in the ship wreckage or something. It could be a different predator's or it could maybe be captured's original and then he finds a shiny new one in the lab, I have no idea.
I find it curious that this face has the extra elder-like hairs and spines on it, and also the top fangs appear much longer than what we see on the trailer pred. Maybe it's just stylistic flair on the sculpt but these things usually try and stay pretty screen accurate. Not getting my hopes up but I'd love to be surprised with another classic / regular predator character somewhere in the film, even if he does wear the same armor.

It's certainly better proportioned where the head is concerned, and AVP Preds dwarf it, which never fails to make me smile. Because it makes out Berserker to be what he is; a cowardly, cheating, runt.

I like the look of the bust, I'm not sure it will match 100% what we see on screen. There seems to be a lot of differences in design for the Fugitive Predator. If you've seen the Funco version he has 4 teeth up top but 2 in the film.

Seems redundant because you could instead make the forward facing targeting reticle unhinge and rotate.
Or attach a reticle to the Plasma Caster itself, there's other more effective solutions.

I searched the web for actual sold out prices (retailers and their own online store), for instance their only Alien prop on the market, the 1/3 scale Dog Alien diorama (limited 1000) was selling around 2000$.
For what I saw, most of their statues available these days (they have various licences) cost no less than a grand, some are up to 2500$, only very few (the smallest) are in the 3-500$ range, unfortunately. No wonder these wall hanging 1/1 Aliens or Predator busts will blow up the roof too.
They're gorgeous ones though, a whole level above Sideshow, no arguing with that !

I own the art book. It never mentions this. I watched the extras on the bluray it never mentions it either. Ridley Scott actually says something along the line that this is a repetition of what we have seen before (the alien) but "hopefully done a little better" Also according to the guys making the effects, they always mention Ridley specifically asked them to do the changes that where made, yet he never ever explain the reasons behind them. I take it as a new interpretation of the creature, thats all. Of course you are all free to believe what you want but there are no official sources on this. The crew alway referred to the creature as the "xenomorph" plain and simple.

There where other differences as well, the more developed chestburster, the faster impregnation and such.

I hear you. As a fan, I actually prefer to think of "Prometheus" as its own, separate science fiction franchise. It's much more enjoyable that way.

That is fantastic looking. It's interesting though, on some angles its pose looks terrific, and from other angles it comes off as awkward. Maybe it's just me, I don't know. Truly gorgeous though.

Strange, I clicked to delete this thread when I realised there was already one for Prime 1 stuff. Oh well! :laugh: If any mods would like to merge this one with that one that'd be cool (I already deleted the post I made about it in there; unless that one somehow returns from the void too).
I think they've done a really good job of capturing the cover, especially the aggressive, almost manic energy in his expression. I need to re-read Big Game as it's been years since I last did, especially since I picked up the Hunters trade recently, but I don't remember the mechanical-looking parts around the mouth being a feature of that Pred's mask.

In my estimation I think the Predator head size is fine... it's those darn jaws that are oversized! A case of the swollen-mouth! Which makes it look funny and not as worth it in my humble opinion.

Prime 1 is doing a very nice statue of the Predator Killer Suit.
While I don't particularly like the nano-machine form over the wearer type feature, it does look pretty cool. I would definitely buy an action figure of it.

Well, I'll start with the bio-mask. I just took this pic on the left, which is my HCG 1:1 Collectible Bio-Mask, which is the only commercial replica that is molded from an actual film used bio-mask versus a new sculpt. (Caveating I know there were slight variations between stunt and non-stunt masks, and promo shots varied from what was often seen in film).

On the Prime 1, for starters, the mask's eye slits appear just a bit too geometric and machined, the mask's cheekbones appear a bit too narrow, and the mask's breather portion appears to protrude outward a bit too much at the bottom.
Prime 1's bio-mask is still nice, but at that level of cost, I'd personally want it more accurate. If it was cheaper, I wouldn't be as nitpicky. :)

These are certainly extremely well painted and designed, that new jungle hunter coming out it the most accurate collectable of him I have ever seen. Sadly its extremely expensive.
