from ALIENPREQUELNEWS.COM

seems the head theory is legit, although they seem to be looking with the flash lights inside the thing,or maybe it's just the light from the flashlights shining on the surface of the head.also if that really is a body in the right, then if you look at the chest, the ridge in the middle looks a bit like the ridge on the chest of the dead spacejockey in alien.

I'm thinking it's a statue of some kind.

It's a Gigeresque version of Michelangelo's 'David'...which ties in with Fassbender's charactor.

If Prometheus gives birth to a new movie monster set in the alien universe maybe it'll have it's own board section on this website, which would be awesome.

Then in about 10 years we'll have the movie Alien verses Predator verses [insert new creature name]

8)

It would be more likely Jockey vs Predator according to this scene

Yeah, but AVP:R never happened...

Sorry I just have to comment on the irony of it all.

Rabid Alien fans frothing at the mouth dismissing Predator with one sentance , then right underneath the "Prometheus won't be Alien" thread.

Brilliant.

Um, I'm not sure what you mean by this.  The title of this thread is referring to the fact that Prometheus isn't going to follow the same structure as Alien, whilst still being set in the same universe.  What's any of this got to do with Predator?!

Because if Prometheus turns out to be a steaming pile of shizen and totally changes everything Alien fans ever debated over the past 30 years, you'll all be the first to punt it into a separate stand alone franchise, claiming "that's not how it happened" or it's "loosely based"

If one thing's certain about this site, it's that a lot of fans choose their own canon, even when it's officially so.

They might not be correct, but people can dream up what they like, it's part of this whole website. I for one don't mesh any together, I respect or disrespect each franchise separately. .

I just want it to be as jaw droppingly amazing as Blade Runner

There's probably a lot more to Prometheus than they're showing us here.
