Certainly sounds it. None of the GBX folk are quoted as calling it a rhino or a bull. IIRC the Praetorian in AvP1/Gold was mostly on four legs and it had a crest.

I haven't seen GBX folks mention it anywhere so far.

As for the praetorians we've already seen, in AvP2 they were on two legs and could pounce (at first), in AvP3 they were on two legs and sprinting of four, but a praetorian never used his head to ram into stuff, that's why the rhino/bull resemblance.

Another source just said it was the inner jaw coming out at the camera/player's POV.

Doesn't specifically state that the game is a prototype and not confirmed for sure though.

A much larger ferocious and huge bull alien was among the pack. Its head was large and patterned similar to a queen's, but also extremely well armored. No amount of simple Weyland-Yutani bullets would penetrate shielding that tough. The marine didn't delay and quickly dashed into a well reinforced building and behind an enforced blast door. He traveled down the path and met with several more of his military chums. However there was something special about one of them.

Sounds like a Praetorian to me.

I don't think Praetorian is a "new creature"

It could be a Space Jockey Alien
