Yeah, the aliens seem a bit underwhelming here.
I do like that last shot of the queen and the marine with the grenade, that is pretty badass.
The face hugging is pretty slick, too. Poor bastard.
Keep in mind this is all Pre-rendered CGI stuff. Has no real bearing on the game play experience.
yeah its still much more upsetting scene than an actual hammerpade attack :P

It's pretty good CGI, raises the old and often brought up idea of doing a CGI Aliens movie or series. I could see it working. This kind of stuff just proves, at the very least, you could do some really sweet action.

It's simultaneously hilarious and sad when the warrior jumped on the marine at 1:06, and he's still standing. Very authentic. Way to go, GBX. You idiots.
So far, the cinematic trailers have really been the only thing that's shown the Alien's acid to be truly corrosive.
I like the small part of the trailer where the facehugger was crawling on the cryo tube. Almost symbolic of the death of Ripley. An alien 3 tribute
It was a nice trailer. Good atmo and action, Ill agree about the adult aliens though, kind of wank in terms of them being effective. I especially dislike the alien who jumped onto the back of that marine to kill him, the marine should have been knocked completely down.
Face hugging was sweet.
Flame thrower scene lighting all the aliens coming at them was sweet.
Queen killing the marine, and the marine dropping the grenade thus causing it to detonate was sweet - also very much an alien 3 moment
overall 8/10

Clint Mansell did the soundtrack for the Doom film and the original Doom game was originally an Aliens game so I guess it all makes sense. :)
Also, yes I did see a bit of translucent/white-ish banana heads...honestly I always thought that was one of the most frightening features of the original Big Chap.
The face hugger sequence reminded me of AvP's (1999) marine intro, both are spine chilling.

I'm not certain if you can use your pistol or not, I haven't seen anyone doing it. It's certain you can't do it with any of the other guns, though.

Bad ass ! They should put this in theaters this weekend for a final push. Incredible Aliens authenticity , the face hugging moment is bone chilling . Then the poor bastard getting in right in the ear. Loved it.
Lets all remember , whether it ends up being good, great, or so-so...it's the only Aliens game your getting anytime soon. And if it does take off, the sequel should refine and improve any flaws brought out by two years of play. Who here isn't still playing the PC titles or even the less than stellar 2010 AvP ? It will be what it will be.
Why hasn't fox made a full CGI movie for Aliens.
