I have been playing the xbox version for a long time and have never played the Playstation 2 version.
Are there any diferences other than controls ?
Does it play better?

I don't like it either. I prefer Halo 3. I never liked 3rd person games except for a very short list of games. I just don't like Gears's no crosshair type of game unless you walk and bring it up. I hated how *attach to wall* and *roll jump*.. were the same BUTTON!! arggg!! so many times I wanted to leap that it grabs the wall!! f**k! They should've assigned it to 2 buttons! I only play the game with my gf for a bit cause she likes it.

That shit with the "hide behind wall" and "roll jump" pisses me off so bad. And the no crosshairs pisses me off too! How do people over look that? I can't tell what I'm firing at unless I hold down "L" first. There was one time I pulled off a miracle shot with the sniper rifle and no scoped someone in the face.
My gf hates it when I complain about the Wall Grab and Roll Jump being the same button.. so I go.. "well... I guess it's made that way for the lazy people that can't use another button for another command. :P
I got to a point where I said "f**k this if I want to play a good over the shoulder game I'll play Resident Evil 4. It's awesome. f**k Gears."
I love Gears of War . Over 10,000 kills now. And for the wall stuff . I dont get wrapped up and angry about stuff like that. I just play and have fun.
I used to be kinda nerdy and look forward to playing a game of Gears when i got off my shift.

Maybe but there is a big diffence between shooting at a shooting place and running around in real nature/citys and shooting, and again there is a aim in gears too you should try it insteed of bitching about it because you dont know how to play it, sorry i dont want to be rude i just hate when people whine/bitch about a game if they dont know how to play it.
Aiming slows you down too much. I know what I'm talking about I've played the game many times because my friends like it. If the aim didn't slow you down so much maybe it'd be more effective don't you think? Please don't tell me what I do and don't know how to play when you don't know anything about me.

He's right, other senses than sight and sound come into firing a real gun, touch being a big part of it, something Gears' creators did not and could not replicate.

no i im saying that i think its sad, because the game history is very good ( like other games) and the grafic is awsome, and you judging a game with negative words because you either think its to easy or to hard.

Okay... Um, Im still trying to get AvP Extinction for my 360 because its a real pain to unhook all of my cords to the tv, lift the 30 pound thing and reattatch other cords, and play it with a controller where the sticks get stuck and stuff. Call me lazy, but I just dont like the process. :P
i've only played the PS2 version and God it sucked. I rented it first too see if it was worth buying, best decision ever.
