The bit where he said "out of the 4 films and us, we are in the top two for changing cannon."

This has me pretty worried.

So if Mikey Neumann got to read Prometheus seven months early I guess we'll be seeing some connections.

Not sure how they could work connections into the game from Prometheus just by reading a script with no visuals.

Maybe if we are lucky, Bishop will activate the derelict ship hologram computers as a bonus Easter egg. :P

The APC better at least be bloody singed from the THERMONUCLEAR EXPLOSION that erupted a couple of miles away.

That has the potential to be really REALLY good, or really REALLY bad.

QuoteThe competitive multiplayer  justified the delay as well. While the inclusion of competitive multiplayer is expected—not only as a modern necessity as a feature, but also as a tradition in Aliens video games like Aliens vs. Predator—my session made it seem like an after thought. Three types of alien were available for play, two swift soldier classes and a beefy bull-like alien that the player could upgrade to based on performance. Controlling the soldiers aliens was frustrating because it often simply didn't work. Puling the controller's trigger should make you stick to a wall to sneak up on unwitting marines, but it didn't always work. The bull class, meanwhile, was too slow to be useful, lumbering around and only killing the most oblivious opponent. It was hard not to feel like Gearbox would have been better served not making the multiplayer component at all, instead focusing on the campaign. Another multiplayer mode was on hand but I didn't get a chance to try it to see if it fared better.
:-\ Four months from release and the aliens are still wonky.

Well its more like 3 months of development time.
It is somewhat disappointing to hear, especially for a hands on demo, but considering they recently hit the content complete stage of development, it is expected that there would be issues. I do hope they can iron out all the major issues,  and while 3 months doesn't seem like a lot of time, you'd be surprised how much can be sorted out in a few months (with the high probability of crunching).
Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for GBX.

I do think that some of the media reports are biased or making mountains out of mole hills. I'm not worried. These demos they are reviewing are already months old, so whatever they are polishing right now is already ahead of what the reviews are based on.

We all have different feelings on these issues, including the people who wrote the reviews.

No game will be free of glitches or bugs, but hopefully by release they will be minor and few and far between.

QuoteSkipping forward, the second part of the demo takes place during a segment "where some serious business is going down," according to Pitchfork.

Freudian perhaps?  ;D
