that aesthetic for the Aliens hasn't been in these films since Alien3.

To be honest, I feel the best design is the one seen in 'Alien Isolation' - everything that made the big chap awesome, but with a lads "guy in suit" look with the leg redesign.

My favorite Alien body design is the ALIEN 3 quadruped design, although the best texture and mouth/jaws/lips/teeth design is still Kane's Son from ALIEN. I do like some of the features from the Praetomorph from ALIEN: COVENANT, such as the ability to change the joints of the legs, turning it almost locust/grasshopper like.

To me KILLIAN PLUNKETT kind of nailed it, at least for me...

I wasnt sure if it could reverse its knee bend. I thought it looked neat when posing the toys but couldn't tell if how the legs actually bent while it was one the roof of the lander thing.

It definitively bent its legs in a way and manner that seems very unnatural in the movie as well, giving off that almost grasshopper-like impression, but maybe not as accentuated as I remembered it.

Quote from: Some Old Dude on Sep 05, 2022, 11:34:24 PMIf it's post Alien 3 I'm all for a full scale Earth infestation. It was always a storyline that I've wanted to see.

It would be great if the humans from Alien are colonies that long ago lost contact with Earth (sort of like Terran from Starcraft). A civilization of space humans who have been inhabiting space for so long, that they have somehow forgotten about their home wolrd.

And then when they discover that Earth is the homeworld of humans, after millennia traveling through space...the place is Giger Land in all its glory.

I always wanted to see something like this, after watching the end of Alien Resurrection.

If I could buy you a whole chocolate cake for this post I would. This is an amazing concept.

Possible engineers and predator engineers attack galaxy together

From The Ronin, the same source that announced the cinematographer for Alien: Romulus, here's an announcement about the production designer for Hawley's show:

QuoteThe Ronin can exclusively reveal a nifty department head hiring for the upcoming Alien series on FX that hails from showrunner Noah Hawley with Ridley Scott's involvement via his production company Scott Free. We've been able to confirm that production Designer Andy Nicholson has been tasked for the Earthbound prequel series.

[...]

Nicholson's career as a production designer spans across all sorts of films such as Gravity, Captain Marvel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Assassin's Creed, and the Netflix action-comedy Red Notice.

QuoteMost big-budget blockbusters are known for their scripts evolving during production. Marvel, however, has a more acute reputation for script pages flying off the typewriters during filming. And the strike will mark uncharted territory for the studio, which is used to having a writer on set to rework things on the fly.

QuoteDuffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we're excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then -- over and out.

Aliens Noah in sept?  is better than now  or summer becose Script ready before shooting but on set they are always rewritten and they couldn't now.

Filming on Alien Noah  won't start until the strike ends. In September it is normal that there is no strike.

The problem is the movie Alien by Fede. It is always rewritten on set and then in post-production with re-recordings. That's why filming like Daredevil is stopping.

It may happen that the filming of Alien fede stops.Nobody wants to film on a shoot with a strike, even if they have a script, it is usually rewritten on set.It is normal that it happens in most of the blockbusters.  re-recordings are  normal and need a screenwriters.
Now no screenwriters.....

SiL

You don't need writers for on set changes or changes in post production.

They are absolutely ideal to have, as we saw last time there was a strike, but the film can still be finished.

Studio execs may take comfort in the 2020 WGA agreement's "(a) through (h)" clause, which gives some leeway for a producer or director to cut a script for time, "change technical or stage direction," and most notably, make "casual minor adjustments in dialogue or narration made prior to or during the period of principal photography."

Star Ryan Reynolds is known for working as a writer on the films he produces and stars in (either uncredited, or as in the case of Deadpool 2, credited). Under the current strike rules, while a non-writer director or producer can make small adjustments to the script under the (a) through (h) clause, a writer such as Reynolds would not be allowed to.

Fede is Director and screenwriter. Like director  Small changes yes   can  BUT  like screenwriter he NOT can.

My doubt is  only director can   o  director/screenwriter  too like Fede.

But is problematic  too small changes. Need  in hypotetic case  changes big or medium   no can...

SiL

Film the script and change it in the edit.
