Ok.  I have tried and confirmed both.

Single Player (Solo):   The Tutorial is single player (of course).   Plus, you can do a single player Private Match.  Just play a Private Match without other players and you can play solo (either Predator or Fireteam member).  NOTE:   Playing solo as the Predator has some changes than when playing against a Fireteam.  The Predator cannot win the match or activate self destruct.  However, XP can still be gained and it's a way to level up and practice the different maps.

Offline:  As of currently, the Tutorial is the ONLY mode that can be played offline.  You are not able to gain XP and level up while offline.   However, you do play as your current customized Predator.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said not long ago that he did some voice work for a Predator game. Maybe they are planning some single player mission inspired by the first movie as DLC.

Supposedly, you can play offline, but only the Tutorial.  You play with your current customized Predator.   Not sure if you can play a solo Private Match offline or not.   However, you can play a Private Match solo as either the Predator or one of the Fireteam members.  This way you can practice and level up quickly.

NOTE  This is with the Trial version.  Not sure if you'll be able to do this on the full version or not.  Hopefully, the game's developers will expand on this and add an option to play offline.

I think it took a while for F13 to release those offline modes. So let's wait.

But yeah I would love some type of "singleplayer" mode for the Predator.

As the Predator I went into a private match and could run around killing NPC's. There are no objectives and while I could take some skulls there's nothing much to do besides that. So you could set something up but it's just more fun to go online with it.

The framework seems to be here for a challenge mode so they could probably set something up in the future with single-player content.

There is a single player tutorial as the Predator where it is just you vs AI bots so it does certainly seem possible! Really fun too!

The thing is that AI has to resemble human players, not cannon fodder like NPCs in the game. And it is not easy to do.

We know there are AI controlled human enemies, it's certainly possible an offline bot mode could be done, but the odds are very low. MP is the primary focus.

I think they're aware we want it. I think we might not see it on launch as it's been a bit of a quick turn around. I'm hopeful they'll acknowledge the want for it closer to, or after release, and let us know the plans.

They've also said you'll get to choose whether you want to play as the Predator or the humans, so there shouldn't be any more of Friday the 13th's "I've been playing for 3 hours and still never gotten Jason" randomness with this.

Hi guys,

So I haven't seen anything but Illfonics last game Friday the 13th added offline modes like challenges and bots, have we heard anything like this for Hunting grounds?

I imagine more people will want to play as a Predator and this means bad luck doesn't have you wasting time never playing a Predator.
So anyone hear about an offline mode?

We all want offline modes with AI bots replacing human players but as far as it is known the game does not launch with them. Also there is no information if they will be implemented in the future.
