Here’s the first real look at the Alien/Predator hybrid courtesy of USAToday.
USAToday also have four more clear pictures of the hybrid and they did a little interview with Greg/Colin Strause. Check the other images out on the next page. Thanks to Darkoo, Simon and Innerchaos for the news.
EDIT: One of the captions for the pictures provided this information: “Unlike the original Aliens, the Predalien doesn’t lay eggs which are then transported by a face-hugger. The new creature can regurgitate in it’s victim’s mouth.” So…erm…it’s a big face-hugger maybe? (Hicks)
^ They’re certainly a lot better than the shots we saw in the trailer.

That's one frickin' thick tail!! :o And the mandibles are not really a part of the mouth :-\ Sorry to say, I kind of expected more.. This is the first thing I'm kind of negative about, but maybe it'll grow on me.

yeah I agree, im not convinced yet unfortunately, I think the predalien maquette that we saw 2 months ago was far scarier than this. In any case I wont pass judgement until I see the movie.

when it comes down to it, shouldnt a predalien be far superior to a predator in fighting ability. because as far as i can tell, an alien takes on the positive characteristics of its host. for example: a plain human wouldnt have a chance againsed its alien counterpart, same with a dog/cattle thingy. im surprised the predalien would even break a sweat taking on a predator, although im sure many pred fans will have a problem with wat iv just said :)

It looks really good. The thickness of the tail and the dreadlocks are a little odd but all 'n all i give it 9 out of 10. Also is it just me or does it's sternum kind of look like the spider-man/venom symbol at certain angles??? Anyways it looks great. :)

Hmm... don't know bout those hands of hs... and he's a bit of a fatty :P but I like how he's very upright, none of this running on all fours all the time crap. Plus the dreads just look tacked on the side... bit dodgy.But overall, I like.

Looks very cool at the first look, but the only negative thing could be that the mandibles wre no part of the mouth, but its less importent i think...but in the whole, very cool, although the predalien maquette was a way scarier and cooler

it looks to me as if a chestburster didnt burst out but grew up and out of a predator and the pale skin is the predators dead skin that or a cloned experament combing the alien and predator dna as it looks to much of a even mix :o

not great....the predalien model that was released a few months ago looked fine but i dont really like the look of it the mandibles are huge and the dreads are to big but i suppose it will grow on me.

prealien is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, think about, its a massive achievement, designing this creature of which people are completly split upon its appearance, and they've managed to get the fans agreeing (to a certian extent), but most people like/love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

predalien looks great- theyve obviously made a decision about the mandibles. if the alien was to adopt them, why wouldnt it improve them for its own use? the alien can clearly use them to hold its prey in place. love it

When it comes down to it CARNALIEN the Predalien is still fighting like an animal. The Predator still has its weapons and brains. If the Predator was getting swarmed by Predaliens (maybe even just 2) it wouldn’t have much chance. This is just one on one and the Predator looks like it’s having a hard time as it is to me getting impaled in the trailer by it. How many Aliens were killed in (Aliens) before they finally took out the Marines? Add to the fact that most people aren’t trained to fight each other let alone anything else. All the Predators do is train to kill exotic and dangerous creatures. What do you want an instakill of the Predator? ::)

Dreadlocks...OK Mouth...PredADIalien. It has the usual problem ADI has with predator mouths. It does not look biomechanical. It is just another step in ADI "fleshy" aliens. They have just put layers of muscle over ols ADI alien mold..

I don't know about you all but i love it. They could have done more, yes, but remember its the first time a Predalien has been in a move. So its just fine. Who knows maybe if its in the 3rd movie it will change its look, because remember that Alien change their look in every movie and sometime go back to their old look. So don't judge just yet> ;)

Predalien looks totally freakin' awesome. For all of you who question the dreadlocks it's due to the fact that Predators dreadlocks aren't like human hair they're like a biorganism for example skin, hence why the Predalien has the dreadlocks. Plus it's keeping true to the games and original piece of artwork so put up and shut up the directors are doing good. ;D

I don't know, The dreadlocks still suck, the body proportions seem off (hands to torso etc) and the seperated mandibles are annoying but not a dealbreaker in and of themselves.

Daddy like, I have to say the mandibles being seperate from the mouth itself is a cool idea, if you think about it there are now three mouths, the aliens tounge/mouth, its normal mouth and now the mandible/jaws. very nice touch.I wish adi would stop f'n around with those fleshy bloated shoulders for the aliens yuk. This movie is looking to be what I have waited 16 years for since reading the very first a v p comic back in the day.

ADI has always had a problem with adding there own flair to the creature designs someone else came up with. They’ve done this since Alien 3 when they took over. I think the predalien has all the elements it should have its just not put together in the perfect way. I never really cared about how the predalien was going to look just hopped that they put more thought into the composition. My main problem, however is the predator and has been since AVP. ADI had to put their own touch on a design that has been perfected; they ruined the mandibles and the forehead. Its clear in the picture above the predator is all out of wack. If anything Stan's studio should have done the predator, after all they created it, and perfected it. But from an artist stand point it’s still a nice sculpture it’s just not the predator more like ADI predator like creature. I’ve sculpted a predator it’s not hard it’s a very basic form I know these guys could do it its just clear they threw out the book and did their own thing. Oh well beggars can’t be choosers. The story, just better be good.

I like the design, but I'm worried this is just gonna divide audiences even more. The people who hated the first AVP are just using this as ammo for how Fox is altering the Alien mythology too much and how it's catering to the video game crowd. The message board on Ain't It Cool News is absolutely ripping these images. For me, I want this to be so successful that we get the 3rd AVP movie in space that the Strause Brothers have mentioned. As much as the diehards will still embrace the movie no matter how different the Predalien looks, we need a MASSIVE AUDIENCE TO SEE THIS MOVIE AND KEEP THE FRANCHISES GOING. There's not enough people on this website to make this a hit.

HEY BROTHERS STRAUSE! I like it! The Predalien looks very menacing! I think it harkens back to the idea of the original Predator movie. The first Predator was a formidable adversary for Arnold Schwarzenegger. It made people think, "Uh oh, Arnold's in trouble!" That was the first time Arnold ever got his ass kicked. Now the tables are turned. The Predator finally has to hunt a creature that is most likely going to give him a tough time. Wolf is definitely going to have his hands full!

In response to the "Shouldnt the Predalien be able to take the predator no sweat" comment, I dont think that's necessarily true considering the rigorous combat training that a Predator goes through. Though the predalien is probably physical superior, skill wise it couldnt be able to match a skilled predator

and another issue is that the predalien's mandibles look more like insect mandibles i much prefered the concept art that was posted minus the dreads the predalien has way too much flesh and is just a little too simular to the newborn in some respects :-\

i say that the stupid predalien looks sooo stupid and the directors should have gave a dif look on the son of a b---- but hey at least they came out with another movie were is alien 5 or predator 3 this is gay GOOD LUCK ON THE MOVIE I WILL NOT B3 WATCHING IT EVEN IF IT IS RATED R

I gota say dat d alien mouth seems so fake now seriously, dey seem lik stiff plastic puppet thingies. Da old alien films were awesum! Da aliens mouth seems so REALL!!!! Nowadays da aliens seem so freakin fake jus look at da aliens mouth, so much OPEN gaps so FAKE!
