Title: AvP Redemption Released!
Post by: Darkness on May 15, 2010, 12:17:24 PM

The long awaited Aliens vs Predator fan film AvP Redemption has now been released. We first heard about this fan film back in February 2008 when the teaser trailer was posted in our forum by its creator Alex Popov. It took over two years to make. What’s special about this fan film is that it uses CGI mixed with live action which no other AvP fan film has done before.

I think it easily surpasses the last fan film we saw, S.E.E.D, by a long way. There’s a lot of wonderful things in there. Thanks to Alex for making this fan film and for keeping us up-to-date with it for the past couple of years.

4.5/5. CGI was okay, very bad in some parts and almost perfect in other parts. Otherwise, a great and enjoyable film.

It was okay. It worked for what it was. A better movie than the AvP movies? Depends on what you're looking for. For AvP fans, it's pretty great as a low budget fan flick. As far as it being a legitimate movie and being better than the AvP films, let's not get ahead of ourselves now. ;)

Oh, and don't be hatin' on Ian Whyte. He was great as a predator and took his role as the monster quite seriously.

As far as fan films go, I'd give it a 4/5, sure. Put it not too far under Batman Dead End, or Troops, as far as quality is concerned.

Title: Re: AvP Redemption Released!
Post by: szuran on May 15, 2010, 04:18:47 PM
It sucks. The pacing is non-existent (there's a sudden jump from "it's calm" to "shit hits the fan"), there's no plot, there's no hero I can relate to, so I don't give a crap about anything. CGI is very poor (texture resolutions would be considered low even in 1999), animation is laughable, and the photography, along with lighting, is amateurish. Oh, and did I mention Predator's chicken legs? Come on...

I know this is a fan film made by one person only, but still - it's so bad I want my 20 minutes of life back.

I agree with Szuran.... This movie is great if youre a Pred fan boy..... Pred get favorited and aliens are like fragile ants ::)  Aliens can do much more harm than what this guy showed... I dont mean to "bash" this film. but thats what commenting is for.. stating opinions so anyone who says oh f off is truly  ignorant and selfish

I liked it despite the hate this is going to get from Alien fanboy's. According to most of them a pred has no chance against a single Alien... ::)  HOWEVER I can certainly see the point where I felt like I was watching a deleted scene from AVP:R with the SFX not finished....that is a bad thing. Predators should not be able to walk all over aliens with out at least getting f**ked up in the process..

was reeeeeeaaaaaalllly disappointed to a see the pred get in a melee match with a queen? did that really just happen?!? A single predator with no weapons would be torn to shreds by a queen hands down..

For a completely amateur project with totally homemade props, this looked pretty good.

Props for taking the initiative to come up with some new predator gadgets, and the fight between the pred and predalien was great.  Pacing was fine and lighting wasn't bad.

Not much for story or characters, but I personally don't expect anything more from a 20 minute fan film.  It pitted the creatures against each other in the type of environment we've all wanted to see.  It was purely action-based, which is completely fine for a short fan film like this.  If people like szuran are bitter and impatient enough to complain about not caring about any characters for such a short period of time, then they probably shouldn't bother watching many movies.

To be honest, I really hate how so many great movies get the complaint: "There was nobody I could relate to".  In other words, "I wasn't in the movie to make myself interested.  I'm too narcissistic to watch any movies that I'm not in.  This was bad because it didn't feature ME.  ME ME ME.  Follow a formula and put ME in the movie, otherwise it sucks!"

...Anyway, all things considered, I'd give this a 3.5 out of 5.

Is it possible to get any download link? I prefer HD...1080p HD of course ::)
Anyway, this little piece of ART is the best thing of the week. (since we haven't got Clone Wars)  ;D

Why can't we see any Pulse Rifle (M41) in the movie?

The only complaint I have at all was the beam the predator got impaled by seemed to just appear. Otherwise great work. Wished instead of throwing knifes it was the Shuriken or Disk. Loved the fighting. Queen was ginormous. also, very last thing, I LOVED THE PRED SHEILD

I enjoyed it.  I loved it a lot up until the Predator started fighting the seceond wave of Aliens. It then seemed to go downhill. The Aliens did seem a bit dumb. :(   I loved the Sheild!  It was an awsome accessory that I would be elated to see see in official Predator and AvP films. The CGI was good and bad in places.  Sometimes it looked real and top-notch, but other times it suffered, but not enough to ruin this great film. ;D

It was good work and effort. For 20 minutes and limited resources, it was worth watching. A developing plot would take more time and I think it was the best route to go. As for characters, ITS AvP!!! I want to see ALIENS and PREDATORS!!! Not characters to relate with. The only thing that I believe could have been better was the costume. Could have used a bigger guy to fit in the costume better. Great job.

I mean guys, really  . >:( Some of the comments are rude to him and other are full of complains about the story! and visuals. its just a fan-film!  me...I loved it so much. Congratulations ALEX!!!

And a single Alien cannot and would never beat a full-blooded, experienced hunter Predator. A Predalien is just a bit stronger than a regular Xeno. Maybe if the Predator was naked since the Alien's blood is acidic and to kill and Alien without exposing the blood, it's hard. BUT, a youngblood could have a real hard time and maybe even be defeated by an Alien if not equipped properly. Though the queen would destroy any Pred in hand to hand combat.

Post by: Jigsaw85 on May 15, 2010, 11:17:01 PM
I admit it's very well made for a fan film and I can appreciate the amount of work that went into making it but it completely misses the point of what an AVP film should be, just like AVPR did and it's very simple: the title of the movie is Alien vs Predator not "Predator slaughters Aliens" you can pull that "Full-Blooded", "Experienced hunter" Bullshit all you want but it doesn't change the fact that an Alien is in fact an 8 foot tall powerful monster not some bug who a predator can stop by SIMPLY STICKING OUT HIS LEG! Oh and by the way, an alien running like a coward? a predator manhandling a predalien? Yeah there's clearly nothing here for alien fans (oh god I'm getting AVPR flashbacks). I don't care how "experienced" a predator is, if an alien gets close to a predator he is f**ked and the sad fact seems to be that most predator fans either don't know or don't care about the facts established about the Aliens. I'm not angry or anything, it's just a fan film after all, it just reminds me why AVP will never work as long as predator fanboys are in charge. Just thought I'd plead my case to all the predator fans who seem to think we alien fans want the aliens to completely dominate the predators, that's not the case, we simply want the aliens to matter, we want them to be a threat. I mean I don't think we alien fans are asking for much, we just want our favorite monsters to be treated with respect, is that really asking for to much?

that was lovely! the alien design was perfect, and the animation was fantastic to watch, not too clunky or cumberstone.
only thing i had trouble with is that this pred is seemingly super powered...a superman of the pred world =P
but still, that was amazing, should really do some more!

Yo Alex,
Great job man,  don't listen to those hacks that cut it down I would like to see them try to do better with what you had to work with.
I love the fact that you did it in space. Loved the part where he kicks the alien that was sweet. I also like the fact that there wasn't to much dialog that helped it along and made it an AvP movie in my opinion and the storyline was good.
Keep your head up and be proud of it ... and hope to see you keep on doing stuff like this.

Really, good job!

I love that you stuck to the lore while extending it forward within the alien / pred universe. I liked the double bladed staff (i wish he didn't just throw it but did more combat with it.) and the wrist buckler was actually a clever idea!

I felt the pred is this short was actually fighting more how I imagined and read in the books and comics... I would have liked to see more pred vs. aliens then just 1v1.  And I thought the melee moves were good. I always imagined the preds were more like sambo / russian martial arts style. Moves that are disarm / disable the opponent followed with a devastating single attack.

Overall, the film was great and I can't wait to see if you do another one! =]

I can say good things and bad things about this. First I would like to thanks for making this, time is a gift and you gave back. The new toys were cool, the action scenes were well done and for the budget it was really well made but....... I didn't like it. You ignored alot of the Alien lore (please tell me that wasn't thermal vision) you had the weakest Predalien I have ever seen plus Alien slaughter. Aliens are supposed to be stronger than the host but you could have fooled me there. Aliens don't cower they fight until death. I have never been so dissapointed since the first(and most) AVP comics. The atmosphere and score were good but at some points inappropriate. Thank you for the effort but don't be Predator biased.

well predalien wasn't fully mature yet, Queen couldn't get closer to the predator because of the Egg sack that attached to her, marine survived by some miracle :) maybe for an Alien fan film at some point will see his survival affords ;)  alot of the fights were filmed before AVPR so the simularities its just a coincidence. Originally i planned the first part of the movie to be just like aliens with some space pirates who find an abandoned space ship, no predators, than the predator comes in to picture, but with the time it was taking, the story changed alot. the reason the fights are short is purly technical, i wish i had a team of 3D experts to do what i had originally in mind :( trust me predator would be definitely more scratched up. i had to cut corners when ever i could and still make it good.

Predalien fight: Great

Regular aliens not using their tails when a Pred grabs them: Not so great.

My short review:

I think it's absolutely incredible for a Fan made AvP film project!! :o :o :o

The Predalien looks way better than that crap they put in AvP requiem, and the Queen was gigantic, it was brilliantly executed.

Although I wished the Predator had the trademark laughs and countdown before the self destruct went off ;D ;D

I sure hope that there will be another CGI one in the future if possible.

The only thing to improve is to change video game feel of a "1 Man Army (or 1 Predator army)" just to make it have a more realistic feel even if it would be short around 23 minutes.

So next time around (if there is a next time) try to have more fights between multiple predators, aliens, and colonial marines happening at the same time, separately (or both).

This film is more faithful to the canon of Alien and Predator by having it set in space and not on present day earth.

The setting of the AvP movies was the most retarded thing Fox had allow to happen the franchise in the first place.

Oh and also no f**king Team Up between any Predator or humans, I was relieved.... and also no female Predators, as I hold a huge grudge against both of those ideas, and would reject ignore anything AvP related that includes them.

So my verdict is:

It's "Redemption" indeed. AvP has been redeemed by a fan that actually cares and have a passion for AvP and didn't make it simply for a living or for profits or any type of corporate interests.

For a fan based product, this is actually amazingly good for what it is. I normally wouldn't care for an amateur production but this was actually quite entertaining and f**k, better than AVP2 as far as i'm concerned

This was really good. I liked the story, I liked the action, and that was pretty good CGI for a fan. Bravo to putting your thoughts into a pretty well constructed vid. Plus all the hints at previous alien and pred films was great. Loved it man, and will definitly download to my ipod when I can.

Alexy did great job. Its f**king 1 man work.
CGI werent perfect, yes, that requires money -.-'. It was decent enough.

Plot, well, there is actually some plot, and it was 20 minutes only so...

Only thing I didnt liked is that it wasnt horror, instead was Action SF. Predator and Alien, both movies are horror SF movies.

4/5 as FAN rated movie.

Best scene, where the marine dies...no doubt, but the best of all is the elder's throne room. Beautifully designed scene. And I really like the drop down camera effect, where the predator jumping down. Way better than the AVP2 similar effect in the watercourse's entrance.

Well, this was a delight to watch. For a fan film, this was one of the most brilliant efforts I've ever seen. It loses only to Batman: Dead End, but it blows SEED away. The blending of CGI and live acting was wonderfully executed.
As a dedicated Alien-fan, I really wished for you to do the aliens justice, and for the most part, you did. Sure, the main character's a Predator, which means that he'll kick a lot of ass and the aliens will die, but I hoped for you to make the aliens tougher than in AvP:R, at least. And you did. For the most part. The first fight was great, and the alien and Predator seemed almost equal. I also didn't get offended by the escaping alien, as it looked like an act of survival to me, not mearly cowardice. The next fight, however, was just Predator kicking alien-butt, which was bad, but still gorgeous to watch.
I've got mixed feelings about the Predalien fight. I loved the way it looked, and the fact that it was able to injure the Predator, but it went down way too fast, and by a human no less, which I found extremely lame. The Predator should've finished that fight.
The human scene was okay. I liked the fighting and how he died, but still it feels kinda out of place to even put him in the movie in the first place. Still, it was great to see a live actor blend in with the CGI.
The queen was ginormous, and I never expected to see such a thing in a fan movie. The fight was exiting, and while it seemed wierd for the Predator to be able to hold his own for that long in a melee fight against the queen, it was redeemed when she won. Sure, I like the Predator character a lot in that movie, but if he'd won against a queen in the way he fought, Iit be humiliating to watch as an Alien fan.
The ending of the movie was okay, he blew himself up, destroing everything, standard AvP-stuff. I would've loved to see an unexpected twist-ending with him being impregnated by a facehugger (I almost thought that'd happen when the egg hatched near the end), and then a sequel-tease. ;)
But overall, it was a mind-blowing movie. I can see why Alien fans won't like it as much as Predator fans, but I still think you did a great job without making the aliens look too bad. I'd love to see more of your work, with maybe more Predators and a human main character. You've got some good acting talent in this one, after all. And I'd like to see an equal movie. I'd like the aliens to win some fights, as well. Sure, they kinda won at the end of the movie, when the queen beat the Predator, but still...
Wonderful movie Alex. Keep doing what you do. We love you for it! ;D

I don't know why you people say "WAAA THE ALIENS ARE DYING!! AVP MEANS ALIEN VERSUS PREDATOR NOT PREDATOR SLAUGHTERS ALIENS WAAAHHH!!!" When in the original avp comics the predators were always dominent, and aliens could only win in greater numbers...so if you want the real AVP stories, thats it. Yeah against a human an alien can kick ass..but against a creature its size+, smarter than a human, has several varieties of weapons, and is a species that lives to hunt..uhh...yeah, aliens don't stand a chance, oh and not to mention the yautja's amazing melee combat skills.

szuran - While I can understand your anger, I would have to say that you needn't be so harsh, however, I do see what you are saying. It is a fan film, and certainly not a polished work, but it's still a vast improvement over a good portion of the avp fan films. You must also realize that the people in this forum use extremely hyperbolic speech a lot of the time, so when you see inordinately grandiose praise, you may be quick to bash it as I likely would, simply because it does nothing to allow artistic improvement. nothing is ever done, only abandoned, as was the case with certain elements here.

STILL: A grand work. I will not say it can't be outdone but I will say it is a worthy installment in fan fiction.

ALEX - You did a fine job with what you had, but try not to lash out at people like that. Typically those that are that outraged are ignorant to this process to begin with, so keep that in mind, otherwise it diminishes class. As I imagine, you would like to be a filmmaker for a living, or in the film world.. to do so not only takes tenacity, but humility and the ability to show restraint in the face of criticism.

On a technical note, I know why the queen was not as mobile as it could have been, there aren't enough edge loops in that model you used. I took that same model and rebuilt it from scratch for my own avp fan film. if you make a sequel i would gladly let you use it!

rockinyautja: I agree with you that it should take more than one alien to kill a predator, but it's funny that you're mentioning the comics, which aren't canon. It's the movies you should go by.

Saying that the aliens don't stand a chance is incredibly stupid. It's all about how experienced the predator is. In the first AvP-movie, two Predators died at the claws of one Alien. In the second, the Predator whooped tons of alien ass. While both movies are stupid, they make a point: It's all about the experience in the Predators. And the number of aliens to top that, ofc.

Oh, and a Queen should probably be considered equal to that of an Elder.

Title: Re: AvP Redemption Released!

AvP started in comics, not as movies. Sure, there is the skull in Pred 2, but the actual fights and all that come from comics. I understand why Alien fans are angry, but a Xeno that comes from humans would never kill an equipped, experienced, full-blooded Pred. A youngblood or un-blooded Pred if not equipped properly, could lose or be severly wounded by an Alien. I guess if the fights would have been 1 Xeno at a time, that would have being less offensive. The Predalien fight did surprise me a bit, even though he wounded the Pre,but he was not killed by the Pred. He had a full rifle clip unloaded to his brains. The Queen though, she would tear a Pred up without a Plasma cannon or better weaponry than the wristblades. If you cannot understand that as an Alien fan, then there will be nothing that will heal your wounded feelings untilyou see a chestburster killing all the Preds in existance. Then you will say, that is how it was supposed to be.

Animation was decent, looked good, but seriously, this world is too full of predator biased assholes. I mean, ONE predator would never be able to take down so many aliens. Now don't get mad at me, because if I made an aliens biased movie with one alien killing so many preds, all you predator fanboys would be chewing me out. It just pisses me off so badly that the world is so predator biased. I hate AVP 2010 because, (lets be real people) ONE predator would not be able to take down so many aliens at one time.(I doubt anyone counts AVPR) All of these AVP renditions should really be called PPABTIABOPBT(Predator pwns aliens because the is a bunch of predator biased trash) people should be completely unbiased when they make movies like this. This is complete bullshit. A singular alien is twice as strong as any pred muscle wize. Now, lets see how many death threats Ill get for this.

Finally another proper looking Predalien.  That was one of my biggest problems with AVP R.  Very well done short.  Nice CGI, decent Pred design and i liked the little addition to the Predator language.  My one complaint tho is the little daggers the Pred had... not so good for killing aliens due to the acid splash but other than that very well done.  I hope someone at Fox watches this and gives some screenwriter who has a clue about what us fans want a shot at a proper AVP movie

Rockinyautja you couldn't be more wrong. An alien is a whole foot taller then a predator, even the fist AVP movie got that right. I don't care what the comics say, they are not cannon and they were made before Alien 3 and 4. There are 4 movies to take facts from, and in all four the alien has proven to be stronger then a predator, and since a predator got his ass completely handed to him by an old LA cop I see no reason why a stealthy 8 foot tall monster with razor sharp claws, teeth and acid blood couldn't kill a predator. spare me your fanboy rants of how "great" the predators hand to hand skills are. In the movies he only went up against humans and humans are much weaker then a predator, The first AVP movie got it right, no matter how much the predator fanboys want to deny it, An alien can and will kill a predator if it gets up close to him, no matter how "experienced" the predator may be. You really want to show off how skilled the predator is? then have him set traps and act like a real hunter, not Chuck Norris incarnate. I find it funny that you think the aliens don't stand a chance, it makes me ask the question "what's the point of all this AVP crap?" to fuel you predator fan boys' egos? To destroy the menace of the aliens? Alien fans know what the aliens are capable of but as long as people like you and the strause brothers are in charge, we alien fans will always have to sit back in horror and watch our favorite monsters get humiliated.

Yes, the comics started the whole AvP-phenomena. But the comics also invented crazy stuff like the Alien king. "Aliens vs Predator" was just one of many ideas that FOX took interest in and decided to implement in the movies. And in the movies, the rules are different. If all you Predator fanboys would like to see a bunch of Predators slaughtering Aliens, stick to the comics. The movies, on the other hand, should've been handled with more concern for both species. The first movie made the Predators look ridiculous in comparison to the Aliens, and the second movie did the opposite. I'd like to see a third one where the creatures fight on equal terms, not one species easily overpowering the other.

And to comment on Jigsaw85, it's called AlienS vs Predator for a reason, it takes more than one Alien to defeat a Predator. I agree on the fact that the Aliens are mistreated in most media, but I don't think one Alien could stand up to one Predator, simply because of the Predators' varied weaponry. In a melee-fight, however, it should all depend on the experience and training that the Predator has. And in most cases, the Predator would win, but it shouldn't get away without getting damaged.

Ignoring the experience-level in the Predator is very stupid. It's just plain logic that a Predator who've never faced off against an Alien would have more difficulty defeating it than a Pred who's faced ten of them before.

No matter what AvP:R tries to tell us, I still think of the Alien as the superior species. Still, that doesn't change the fact that I love the Predator-creature as well. I just want to see an equal movie, without one winning side. I want the fanboys to shut up and watch a movie where both sides of the AvP-fandom would get satisfied.

And a side note to MxBxM, I think you're underestimating the Queen waaaay too much. A Predator with "better weaponry than the wristblades" would still lose. Sure, if he had a plasma caster or something he might win. But if we should go by the way you're saying it, a Predator with a COMBI STICK would be enough to defeat a queen, which is utter bullcrap.

Thought i quit WoW lol..just saying, i would expect a predator to be able to take on several aliens at a time before being defeated (if hes experienced of course..). Now listen i am a HUGE alien AND predator fan. I love them both equally, so im with you all..but the fact is that a predator has a way better chance against an alien, and thats what makes it awesome and more interesting. Bad example but imagine say.. a scorpion attacking a colony of ants, the scorpion (predator) will most likely kill several ants alone, but when all the ants(aliens) start coming together and attacking the scorpion(predator) at once they will kill it lol. Thats what the aliens are supposed to be in the AvP genre, and i love them for that because its not like Godzilla Vs King Kong..or Freddy vs Jason..but yeah..you get my point. Once again i love them both! don't hate!  :D

Title: Re: AvP Redemption Released!
Post by: HF on May 18, 2010, 05:05:45 AM
@ rockinyautja :

A ''bad example'' indeed. Because in your ''bad example'', the ants would actually be just as big as the scorpion... That kinda change things a little don't you agree? And they would be just as, if not stronger, than your scorpion and have acid for blood... A bad example indeed...

Remember that the only advantage the Pred have over the alien is his technology and long range weapons. But at close range, the alien automatically gains the advantage. As almost any damage the pred is inflicting to the alien, will result in the pred being directly exposed to acid.

One big thing people tends to forget is that the alien's blood is not like ''normal'' blood. Meaning that the pressure inside the alien's body is far greater than the pressure inside the human body for example. The Alien movies made a great job of showing us that very important fact.

A predator can't simply use his wristblades, nor any other bladed weapon for that matter, to slice and dice an alien. For the simple reason that he will be trenched in acid in no time.

I could go on and on on this. Just realize this, and you will understand that wristblades and daggers are the worst weapons you could use against an alien.

HF, predators train for fighting aliens before they actually do, they have more than technology and long range weapons(combi-stick), amazing melee skills, and their smarter than the aliens..and, if a predator stabs an alien with his wristblades theres not going to be galons of acid shooting out in 50 different directions.Im not saying the blood won't go shooting out..but it is not impossible to avoid it when up close, ALSO predators have shit in their blood that slows down the acid greatly. One more thing, predators also have armor..which will slow down acid, and protect them from clawing. Off to glue my Sideshow Big Chap aliens foot back on!

I have made a few pulse rifle props I would have let you borrowed ;D  The predalien design was cool. I enjoyed the mixed music from the previous films. Excellent Pred camo as well. Well executed Alex A++ for you.

cheesy of course, but the storyline alone is better than either of the 2 AVP abortions.

For those that say that humans have to be in AVP movies just to have a story and characters to relate have to take a look at this because I thought if fleshed out this would be an amazing movie. Perfect setting, designs and the aliens were at least smart to create a trap unlike the bum rush and die aliens of AvP movies.

Yeah, I really meant the wristblade thing as general for close-range combat. Everyone that saw AVP understood the "right of passage" for the unexperienced Preds. One Alien killed 2 Preds and it was acceptable and believable because they had no experience fighting Aliens, especially the Celtic, which seemed to have forgotten or did not take into account the Alien's accidic blood would melt the net. On AVP-R, we clearly get a much more experienced Pred, with a scar telling us of his previous encounters with Aliens. Some of the fights are not set-up or thought out preoperly since when Wolf grabs the 2 Aliens by the neck, they could have stabbed him or if he would have shot his Plasma cannon, he could have been sprinkled with acidic blood. I understand all the Alien fans that got their feelings hurt while on their period. The Pred in Pred 2 sustained various point blank wounds from a shotgun. He did not die. I doubt an Alien would survive that. In Aliens, The Xenos were killed with pulse rifles and Turrets from far. I don't about you, but a point blank shotgun blast seems deadlier than unloading a few rounds froma clip, look at 50 cent. My point, I think that given all the evidence, Alien bodies are a bit more fragile than Preds. Also, the Pred blood as said in another post, has stuff in it that I guess does somewhat the contrary to what Alien blood does. Look for Concrete Jungle for the best reference to this. And let me rephrase this again, A queen will kill any Pred regardless of the experience if he does not have powerfull long range weapon such as a Plasma cannon, rifle, gun, turret, etc.

It was good and impressive.....but can we get an AVP film that doesn't have the same ending over and over again?!?!  Plus more than one Predator in an AVP film and/or book that don't get killed early?!?!  Same old story everytime nothing changes.....

Hell of a movie! You must have worked your ASS OFF to get this thing looking as good as it does. Very professional looking, great action, and editing. This blows away most stuff you see on SyFy! Keep up the awesome work.

I enjoyed it. Would have benefited from the involvement of some colonial marine types, particularly in the prop replica pulse rifle department.

Whatever i say, it's not enough for such a masterpiece...
I watched it for the 3rd time and i seriously think that both AvP movies are absolute crap compared to this.

Loved every minute, what a fantastic piece of work! When I say a great amateur attempt I mean that as a compliment - but you really should be some sort of consultant for a real AvP movie, you hit the spot just right. Thought the Pred gadgets, especially the shield, were very well done indeed without going over the top. Thank you, enjoyed watching it, can you upload a d/l version for my iPod :D

It was really good!  I am amazed at how good it looked!  It had to take a hell of a lot of work to get all those CG assets built and animated.  I loved how you used the Sulaaco from ALIENS!  Much better than both AvP movies!

ok so it took 1 person 500$ and 2 years for 20 minutes. i am horrible at math but lets say fox went about the same way you did it. anyone know how long it took for them to make it? for avp it was 60million and the movie was 100 minutes. not sure how many people they had working on it. guess with tons of calculating and crap maybe someone could get a rough estimate on how much fox could of made avp for. maybe just a few thousand instead of tens of millions lol. wow fox sure is loaded with a bunch of morons who dont know how to budget. ALEX YOUR THE MAN!

Only good fan movie was batman dead end. This comes no where near it. the score is all over the place. The acting isn't even marginal. The fat guy in the beginning is annoying and not at all believable. The fight seen between the predator and the queen is so awkward to watch a skimmed through it. The only good AVP movie that can be made will be the one that follows the comic without everyone's, "what I want in a AVP movie" wet dream two sense add to it. The Predator looked horrible. The whole movie should have been just CGI and better 3D modelers should have been found. And finally...Disturbed for a closing song...really...are we catering to a Youtube audience? Disturbed sucks like this movies sucks. For what is worth it was better that Anderson's shit flick which i had to leave the theater cause it was so appalling.
