Movie posters are a special kind of art. I come across all kinds while surfing the web and I thought I'd share some of them with you.

You're welcome to join in...
With a little help this will be like browsing a weird video store.

I do try to stay away from the more recent ones. And the classics because we all know those. Also the less familiar ones are often more fun.
Edit: So no posters from post 2000  ;D I wanna see older stuff.

Edit: If you're lacking inspiration, do a google image search for your birthyear or something and add "movie poster"

I was on a poster buying binge back when I was trying to put together my own home theater.

To the best of my knowledge:

Godzilla 2014 - 27x40 (One sided from allposters)
Faster - 27x40 (Original)
The Equalizer 27x40 (Original)
Pixels 27x40 (Original)
Dante's Peak 27x40 (Original)
Cowboys and Aliens 27x40 (Original)
Godzilla 1998 27x40 (Original)
Dawn of Justice 27x40 (Original)
The Dark Knight 27x40 (Original) still can't believe I got it.
Prometheus 27x40 (Original) still on the wall
Kong: Skull Island 27x40 (Original)
Knowing 27x40 (Original)
Poseidon 27x40 (Original)

Several others (all original) and I think also a War of the Worlds 2005 27x40 (Original) I had an original for Fellowship of the Ring. My cousin got it for free from the theater on opening night when the first movie came out. He gave it to me and, being a kid, I just pinned it to the wall and it was slowly destroyed over the years.

I also have some of the smaller poster like the IMAX size for TMNT, Avengers, Independence Day 2, and a few others. I have several of the 24x36 posters for S.O.A., Gears of War 4, DOOM, Black Ops 3, Jaws, Avengers, a Ledger's Joker sketch, a Harley Quinn sketch, and a few others. I still have 2 original posters for Halo 2 that I picked up back when it came out.

I've got the theater mylars for films like Civil War, Equalizer, Terminator Genisys, Jurassic World, Godzilla 2014 and like 4 others.

I have the large 4'x6' bus shelter posters for Godzilla 2014, World War Z, and Terminator Genisys. The Godzilla 2014 was one I hunted for a long time and cost me quite a bit. I plan to have it framed somehow next spring.

I was hoping for posters of older and lesser known movies.
Maybe I've should've been more clear in my first post. My bad.

I mentioned it in another thread just recently, but I really miss oldschool painted film posters, before they just did everything with photoshop. They have a charm and character digital stuff simply doesn't.

One of my favourite examples:

Also came across this fan-made effort recently and loved it:

There was more heart and soul involved. Now the best posters are often from small budget horror and alternative movies.
Or from fans, like the one you posted.
