They showed the trailer in the Alien Day cinema screenings over here! I've reached out to Madame Tussauds for some more specific information but it sounds like this is going to be something akin to Alien War and that really excites me!
Yeah this makes me excited. It's also something I can get my Fiancé to experience with me.
She isn't fond of anything Alien :o
ALIEN WAR 2: WAR HARDER
Why does the UK get all of the good stuff. haha. Here in the New Jersey/New York area, all we get is the Ghostbusters 3D experience at our Madame Tussauds. Much rather have this.
On a lark, I went to the "House of Wax" immersive experience in NYC about a decade ago and, boy, did I nearly crap my pants. I'm so bummed this is only happening in London.
Alien War was amazing. I totally panicked when a guy jumped out from behind a barrel and I just started sprinting down the corridor. Had to be dragged back by the marine.
I then fell through one of the walls when I leaned on it and hurt my back.
All in all a fun day out.
Is it possible to apply even if you are from America? I was an actor back in the day and some of my friends and I are thinking about making something
I was wondering if this might be something like Alien War, thrilled to hear it is! Definitely going to go once it's open.
Making a wax work Walter -
So creepy.

I NEED MOAR DAMMIT.
Great to finally be able to see some good renditions of the final xenomorph design.
Looks fantastic. Can not wait to check this out.
You lucky mother f.....
I cannot wait for this! I'm still curious to know exactly what it's going to be like! I'm holding out a little hope on it being similar to Alien War but I'll be just as happy to see some really cool Aliens in person.
I'm expecting free entry when I present my Alien War card!
So by completely ignoring the Necrom works of H.R Giger, Ridley Scott used them as inspiration to redesign the Alien?
What a f**king cop out.
I like the changes but am true to the original Alien :)
This is great, wouldve been awesome if they could bring this to New York tho!
Is there a Madam Tussauds in NY? Maybe they'll tour it.

Yes, they have 24 locations across America, Europe, Asia, and one in Australia.
Hopefully they'll tour the exhibit in that case!
We do have an opening date though! 15th of July! ;D

Lemme know when you're going, im actually off that week!
Has RidgeTop messaged you?
So myself, RidgeTop, Xenomorphine and HuDaFuk were able to attend the press unveiling yesterday. It's definitely in the vein of Alien War but not quite the same thing.
You're led through locations from Alien: Covenant (the ship, the lander, the Necropolis) by actors in Covenant garb. You're not chased by anybody in Alien suits because it's more about the actual waxworks (which are awesome btw). The sets were really cool too. Very faithful.
If I had any real complaints, they would just be that it was a little too short and I would have liked the chance to get some snaps with more of the waxworks. I'm going to be asking about that though.
We're planning on attending again too. Really enjoyed it. We'll be recording a podcast on it (an honest to God in-person one too!) and I'll be writing up a page on the event to go on the website too.

Here I am, trapped in the cryotube. :P

Was going to upload some of my snaps but doesn't look like I have anything worthwhile that Hicks doesn't already!
The Walter waxwork looked really good. The maze was decent but disappointingly short - think of it as a little side-show while you're in the... what do you call a waxwork lookalike place? A waxery? ...rather than a stand-alone attraction in its own right. Was also really hoping there'd be some people in Alien suits jumping out at us but sadly it was just animatronics (and fairly tame ones at that). The sets were great though and what Aliens there were looked really nice.
We were told we could have a second go round without the actors and whatnot rushing us through so that we could take some decent photos of the actual horror maze part of it, but then the building's fire alarm went off (triggered by smoke from the maze itself, best get that fixed ) and we had to evacuate, so we never got the chance.
Cant wait to go to this :)
Hehe, I see even wax version of Fass has an exquisite taste in 2-in-1 devices and dons Surface Pro :P

I knew that'd tickle you. I thought that was a really nice touch.
Again, the UK always gets the best Alien stuff. Wish we had this exhibit at the Madame Tussauds in NY City instead of Ghostbusters. Don't the Alien movies also get released in the UK first before the U.S.?
What is it though? Just going in and looking at Wax Figures. Do the Wax Figures move (Specifically the Alien?) Do they run you through a corridor?
It's basically a few replications of various sets from Alien: Covenant with some waxwork displays in them too. You're guided through it all by actors wearing Covvie costumes. I think one of Aliens had some degree of animatronics on it but don't quote me on that. Going through it again at a later date so we'll see.
Looks boring. Alien is dead to me. :'(
Here's a little trailer for the exhibit too.
And scareTours video.
Looks okay I suppose.
Shame it isn't the longer show like Alien War
Yeah, it's my main criticism of the event really. It would have been nice to have had lots more to it.
Sounds like they're hosting an Alien: Covenant home release event here next week - http://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/alien-covenant/51709/behind-the-scenes-of-alien-covenant-get-seats-for-a-very-special-event
Sounds pretty decent.
Seems the attraction itself is proving quite popular - some friends went to Tussauds the other day and they said the queues for the Covenant section were huge!
Shevvie went through it recently and the day he went he said there were practically no queues. They also seem to have been having some regular technical difficulties - which is looks like I've not been sharing links of.
