I.... don't like how this Predator looks in that one cover. Looks like an alien Sean Connery.

I really like the cover on the right.  The cover on the left though, the Predator looks somewhat fish-like and gives Gill-man vibes.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that's not the artist for the interior pages. I mean the art isn't bad but that doesn't look like a Predator to me.

I noticed the "grimy sewers" reference and am wondering if they're going to play with some Secret of the Ooze funny business to attribute to his odd appearance.  It is Spiderman, so maybe this guy in particular has some splicing going on?  I mean, he is rocking quite the silly look otherwise.

He could also be going after Kurt Connors, The Lizard, who tends to hang around in sewers.

Not gonna lie... Kinda don't want the gene splicing thing to return. The Predator 2018 needs to be forgotten.

I suppose the Gill-man look could simply be an homage to a different character too. I know they do that sometimes with the guest artist covers.

I hear you on the splicing! I'm ultimately less bothered by it if it's not particularly gruesome or goofy.
