You all know I hate being negative but I just can't get behind this kind of thing. I really don't think it's smart or funny. I cannot stand reused dialogue (yes, I know it's a twist) like this. It's so self-referential and pulls me out of the films when they do this.
This will be great for the couple dozen of people that actually catch the reference. The rest are going to be ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Well, it seems the line has caused a lot of negative reaction so who knows for sure. I liked the script, but there were some dialog that I thought was a little to on the nose. This being one of them.

Roger that, appreciate you taking the time to confirm! I love the site and have been lurking in pred camo since I want to say 2007 or so when AVPR was coming out. I've seen people come and go but the good ones stick around. The overly negative ones will burn themselves out because it takes so much energy to project that consistently.

I thought Jane might be Traeger but that's been confirmed to be Sterling K. Brown. Jane is probably one of the Loonies.
How does the camaraderie rank compared to the previous Predator films, even though it's hard to tell without seeing the interactions translate to the screen?
My favorite thing about Pred films is the banter and tightness of Dutch's unit in 1 (Mac and Blaine's brotherly closeness was a great addition), Hartigan's unit's close knit loyalty in 2, and even the way violent strangers ended up sacrificing themselves to save others in the group in Predators.
There's some good banter here and there. It's not quite on "sexual tyrannosaurus" level, though.
I'm thinking maybe they should just put this quote to rest. :-\
