I'm going to take a wild guess we'll see another update come Halloween time. Video game 'seasons' are highly variable, with Call of Duty seasons of content being about two months. A number of games also see mid-season updates but who knows if that'll happen with this.

Pretty sure the game won't make it 3 months between  seasons at the rate things are going.

RidgeTop mentions that the next season's DLC could drop soon (in the video states next week which is this week)...although not confirmed, any idea when season content actually drops based off of other game's seasons pass content? I never boaght season passes before and i don't have a clue. I'm assuming every quarter but then it wouldnt be called season if that were the case.

We actually recorded it before the Phalanx drop, so it has already dropped.

It's a fun game but it needs an immense amount of polish because every now and then it crashes on me, it gets glitchy, buggy, etc. Really wishing I bought it on my ultra powerful PC. Also needs a PvP mode like in A:CM. I will say that one of the things that really bugs me is the lack of lip sync for the characters. It's a minor thing but it takes me out of the immersion, considering the amount of time that Cold Iron has had developing this game.

Great podcast once again boys. I can't help but echo many of the concerns you've mentioned. I absolutely love Voodoo's analogy with junk food. It's perfect. I find Aliens Fireteam to be loads of fun. It really does feel like Left For Dead with an Aliens aesthetic.I think we can all agree the game looks gorgeous. I gotta say I love the Engineer and Hive environments. I also love the little nuggets of lore but this is where the game starts to lack for me. I just wish there was MORE. More environments, more back story, more exploration. On the surface it's great. But it's not a very deep game. It sticks to the same formula over and over. Get to a room. Find a instrumentality. Hold a point and wait for the hordes of aliens/working joes. Rinse and repeat. That definitely gets repetitive. I couldn't help but also feel that this game was really trimmed down. I feel like they were going for a big MMO game but fell flat. I would have loved to see a destiny type of vibe with weapon/armor drops and boss raids. Much like you guys, my biggest concern is the replay-ability factor. I've pretty much played it daily since release and I've yet to get tired of the missions but I honestly wonder how long before fatigue starts to set in. I made it about 4 months with Predator Hunting Grounds and I'm afraid this might be the same. I'm excited to see what the developers have coming down the pipeline in the coming months. I've still got my fingers crossed for an engineer or Alien Queen boss fight. It would be cool if they could also incorporate the protomorph and neomorph in the coming months. Also what is everyone's combat rating? Mine is 710. That's again for the amazing content gentleman.

Ko (is her name Ko?) i forget, Ko has a prosthetic bionic leg similar to the main sargeant from ACM. I wouldnt haven't thought nothing of it, but it looks identical in articulation. So if its a nod, its most definitely designed intentionally to be a knod.

AFTE uses many of the same alien variants as ACM but otherwise I don't think I'm familiar enough with ACM to notice Easter eggs.

One thing I will say is that I think this game so so much better than ACM. I never even finished that game and that's really saying something for such a big alien fan as me. I've tried but I just can't make myself play past half way lol.

Did you see the ACM easter egg in AFTE? There is one.its really obvious!

Really hate to be that guy, but the game's average score from critics is closer to 70, not 60 like Voodoo said lol. (XBSX 70, PC 69, PS5 67 - metacritic) - I know, I know - pedantic.

So Xbox crept back up to 70, noice!

I knew (at the time of recording) that all the versions of A:FTE had a culmination average in the 60-69 percentile at Metacritic, so I believe I said "60 Percent Range" but still, perhaps there was a better way of saying it. High 60's would have been better, maybe? :)

Think it was Ridgetop putting emphasis on the fact that the game was released at a budgetary price point which I feel is such a huge factor to consider. Me and my mate paid £25 for our physical copies and he calls it one of the best value games he's purchased in years. He loves the perks and levelling up more than I do and he's casual!!

More maps and another game mode is imperative- and it has to be quick. But otherwise I would consider this is money well spent and the game is full of positives (and of course drawbacks which are more forgivable because of the price!)
