Well, the King Alien action figure from Kenner could be naturally occurring.  Of course, that opens the question of whether you accept that medium to be canon.

Unfortunately in Aliens Anthology special features they showed the toys as being separate from the Saga. On the other hand I think every writer likes those toys and have been working them into the stories.

Does anybody know where this is?  Where do they say that?

Aliens: Legacy, could have asked me in a p.m. instead of sm.

Sorry about that, but SM has a point in the last post; could you tell me where exactly I can find this source that says toys aren't canon?

AVP arcade and AVP:Extinction is normally not considered canon. you know, because of the insane alien species and weird Class-based predators.

They are canon, in the Aliens legacy feature is states that the games, movies, books, and comics are the same Saga.  That is a major word to use "Saga", when talking about a fictional universe.   Those Insane Aliens you speak of are a good incentive to make sure they do not come to your planet, otherwise as stated in AvP:E you wont be getting your planet back without a heavy heavy price.  The funky weapons you speak of that the Yautja use are as dub them Weapons of War.

Which feature is this?

I already said it Aliens: Legacy, that is the name of the feature in the Alien Anthology special disc set.

Oh ok, thanks.  Do you remember who it was who said that toys aren't canon?  Was it a producer of a film, a director, or maybe an actor?

Narrator.

They left all the things that are not movies, games, comics, and novels, in the merchandise section of there presentation.

predxeno

Is that all you have to back your claim that those aren't canon?  They didn't outright say they weren't canon?

SM

So the comcis that came with the toys would be canonical by that reading.

Do they go into to detail explaining how the myriad contradicting data can be reconciled?

That's the way I see it.  In my world, Apone and Drake are still alive and Bishop has been reworked into a tough Xeno-fighting machine.  I know, my AVP universe is so much fun. :D

Also, I couldn't find the Alien: Legacy feature on the Anthology features list, KingAngel of the Outergulf.  Did you mean The Alien Saga documentary?

Ghostface

I remember those Kenner figures. Loved them as a kid and I really loved their comics too. From memory, they go on a massive adventure from location to location wiping out aliens of different breeds and variations. LV-426 was the squad's first encounter with the xeno and Ripley, and the majority of them died there so I think it's pretty safe to say that the Kenner figures and their accompanying comics are not canon, just nice kids toys.

predxeno

They resurrected Apone by giving him some sorta metal attachment to his arm.

SM

They'd need a metal attachment for his chest.  And a metal - well everything - for Drake.  And some way of reconstituting a vapourised atomic structure.

The Alien Legacy is listed under Disc 6.

I'd check it myself but my BRs are some distance away presently.

Either way it's not going to explain how everything can fit into a single continuity. So it's not like your out of a job or anything.  ;D

I assume you mean "can't fit," but I take your point. ;D

Do we consider the toy commercials canon too? How did Apone survive teh acid spew from teh gorilla alien?

predxeno

Actually, I draw the line against commercials.  Those are obviously kids playing with those figures so they are at best events that occur in the kids' imagination.

Nah, that'd be a double negative.
