Shouldn't each blu-ray have their own atmospheric sound. Aliens had PLENTY, same with Alien 3. That humming you hear should only be for the Alien blu-ray. Makes it more unique. Wondered why they did that?

To keep it uniform.  Which works better than the different menus for each disk that they had with the Legacy DVDs.

Not necessarily the menu itself SM but that humming noise in the background from the first film. Like in Aliens when the marines first arrive at the colony and also when Ripley is going to save Newt there's this cool like techy kind of offbeat humming background noise. Alien 3 had the violent echo every now and than. Especially when Ripley says,"I need to get to the EEV." Resurrection had the creaks and moans from the Ship which I think played a good tone for the film. When Ripley guides the crew through the Auriga you consistenly hear this and it makes you feel like your on the ship.

1. Here's the noises they used for the menu on the Anthology for Alien

Once again - consistency.
