I don't know how much longer the chiefs can stay together.  Appears to be some sort of internal issue that makes it harder than it needs to be on offense.  Reminds me of the early 2000s lakers team that ran into the Pistons after winning three championships, and then fell apart.

But maybe no.

Mike Edwards got his second super bowl ring (got one win tampa bay).  So I'm happy in that regard that the Chiefs won.

Great season overall both on and off the field, with viewership continuing to rise and the expansion of the International Series. Just sucks that the Jets are still nowhere near competing for a Super Bowl.

Only surprise for me about last night's game was that it was so close. Chiefs weren't at their best, but the 49ers didn't take advantage of their opportunities and had some key injuries. Just typical that the winning score came from a player who the Jets dumped because we couldn't find a role for him...

Yup. Football has been absolutely killed by letting the refs and commercials take over.

Chiefs won.  Will Travis Kelce propose to Taylor Swift on the 50 yard line now?

Chiefs to win something like 31-17. 49ers are a strong team from top to bottom, but I don't think they match up particularly well with KC, and they've been fortunate to win their previous two games.

Mahomes to throw for 3 TDs, Pacheco to go over 100 rushing yards and a TD, Chiefs Defense to force a couple of turnovers. Just hope we don't have too much Taylor Swift forced down our throats, although it's a pretty forlorn hope...

Quote from: littlesprout on Sep 15, 2023, 06:47:03 PMIt's a shame jets look like they have a solid team except for the QB position. I'm a pats fan so I won't complain too much, but do feel for rodgers.

I feel like Eagles and Niners definitely going to be the teams to beat in the NFC. And in the AFC no matter how the season starts the Chiefs are still going to be the team to beat once playoff time comes. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like by week 10 or so.

At the moment I got Niners vs Chiefs though

Wow this aged well

Come on, you guys all know the outcome has already been determined, right?  I just heard all about it on Fox News.

To me its hard to root against the Champs when they are in the finals.  Of any sport.

Looks like the Niners are favored to win, at least from sites like ESPN and betting platforms.  Niners winning would be a perfect way to get retribution from their last Super Bowl meeting in 2020.

haha As a Niners fan, I was rooting for the Cowboys against the Packers.  It's ok, Kimarhi, root for Red and Gold. :P

I don't like either team, but Kansas City has an all time U of Kentucky great on it in Mike Edwards, and another guy on the practice squad in Darian Kinnard, so I guess I have to root for them.

Being a long suffering cowboys fan in the NFC, I can't abide the 49ers.  I do think the 49ers have a decent chance.  They have lots of firepower themselves, and Purdy sometimes has that magic about him that is hard to prepare for.  The Chiefs SHOULD win, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the 49ers get the W.

Bit of a predictable Playoffs after the Wild Card round. Never gave the Ravens much of a chance against the Chiefs, despite their impressive regular season and having home field advantage, they're just not a good Playoff team these days.

The Lions only really have themselves to blame for not reaching their first ever Super Bowl, blowing a 24-7 lead in San Francisco. Not kicking a game tying FG at 27-24 down made no sense at all, and ultimately cost them.

Think the Chiefs win the Super Bowl fairly comfortably.

Don't think I'll ever understand how we won that game yesterday?!  :P

Even the worst team in the NFL still has a team full of stars at the collegiate level.  There is really no nfl team that is UNTALENTED.  There are just teams with more talent.  And sometimes that talent gets caught sleeping on people.
