There were a few magazine journos saying that the alien does indeed appear to just "teleport" to other areas of the map on occasion. It'll appear on your radar one second... then the next he'll just show up in another distant part of the map.

How can it show up on a distant part of the map if the tracker doesn't have any great range?

You clearly see it running past the window before coming through the opposite door.

Exactly.

Also, I don't care if the alien teleports or not. This is a GAME, not a movie.

New vignette.

HOLY CRAP, when the Working Joe grabbed her leg, I gasped.

It's still an ai and I'm sure it can get stuck in certain off screen situations so it would probably have to teleport to up with the progression of the game. That working joe reminds me of bad dreams I have when I'm running from something bad and something keeps me from getting away. 0.0

Its AI, it won't be perfect. People need to understand that.

I'm not seeing anything wrong with the AI.

Here you can see that if your health its very low, an android can make a "fatality move" against you, if you are too close

Stomp, choke...whatever

I feel like I'm going to do pretty well in this game, because all these situations I would survive.

I hear ya, like running around no 1hp and then standing right next to a flaming robot... yeeeeeeaaaahhh, don't think so.

Listen guy.  The Alien would be the second most dangerous thing on the ship if I was involved.
