"crossplay is now enabled by default"

I feel a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of console voices cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced by gunfire. I fear something terrible will happen.

I'd almost be happier if he wasn't in it, since that would mean there's some other Predator game out there in development we don't know about yet.

Ah, good point!!

The patch notes say they've fixed tutorial bugs, so hopefully.

Quote from: Voodoo Magic on Apr 21, 2020, 02:59:48 PM"crossplay is now enabled by default"

I feel a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of console voices cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced by gunfire. I fear something terrible will happen.

I saw reports recently that console players of CoD's Warzone mode were turning off crossplay because they kept running into PC players with hacks and aim bots, which was sadly always going to happen to any FPS with console/PC crossplay.

Here's hoping that this game will mostly fly under the radar of the cheaters, but yeah if I start seeing people pulling some really suspect moves over and over again I'll definitely turn it off and keep it that way.

Otherwise there are some good changes there, including some I was hoping to see after playing the beta.

I guess no longer being able to choose our spawn points as the fire team isn't such a big deal if it's done by mission, since there were definitely times when we had to run for ages before getting to where we had to go. And since there were tons of different missions it should still keep things unpredictable for the Predator.

BAD ASS!

Maybe it was just the limited trial missions but if you remember I kept wondering why mission points weren't near the lake or the gigantic satellite dishes - hiding some beautiful aspects of the map. Forcing us to spawn there from time to time at least will definitely change it up and allow the fire team to take in the scenery as we hustle to our mission objectives.

Kailem

Yeah and it'll also cut down on always spawning at the same place if too many people end up not picking anywhere or deciding they have a favourite.

Glad they're buffing the pounce slam damage too. That thing was straight-up garbagio on the trial, especially when the trade-off was that it overloaded your energy. The combistick nerf will be good in that it should help cut down on the amount of people who just did nothing but jump in and spam with it, but I guess we'll see how it ends up comparing to the other weapons once we get our hands on all of them, since there were still two other melee weapons we never got to use in the elder sword and the war club (and the description of the plasma pistol made it sound like a close-quarters shotgun-type weapon too).

Looks great. I like how the mask can be destroyed. I hope there is option to remove it or play without it from the start.

Wurd77

It looks like they have focused on fixing the balancing issues, performance issues, and matchmaking issues.

However, there are still some things left unanswered.

I noticed that only the Overgrown map is mentioned.  Is this the only map?  Are there different versions of this map?

And of course, talk of new content coming soon after the game's release.   That's good.  I can't wait to see what their "roadmap" will look lIike.   Hopefully, more maps added, new classes, extra gameplay modes (possibly an offline option), and other stuff.  :)

Yup. I didn't know about it either until I saw an interact icon on a downed Predator one time and it brought up the defuse mini-game.

Basically if you kill the Predator before he can arm his self-destruct, you're good. But if he managed to arm it and then you kill him, you can try to defuse it by interacting with the prompt that appears on his body, then matching four Predator language symbols in a row before it explodes.

Making the prompt easier to interact with is definitely a good thing because there was at least one instance where I got blown up because it took too long for the prompt to appear. And making the mini-game itself more difficult is equally good because once you got the hang of it you could defuse it pretty easily, so this should make it a bit more of a risky thing to do.

Quote from: Wurd77 on Apr 21, 2020, 06:12:56 PMI noticed that only the Overgrown map is mentioned.  Is this the only map?  Are there different versions of this map?

There were three maps in the trial, Overgrown, Derailed and Backwater, but we don't know if there are going to be any more in the full game.

The bad thing is, like you said, they only mentioned Overgrown getting the "stuck in place" fixes when it happened to me once on Derailed too, so it's by no means the only map that could happen on.
