Though the Godzilla Earth anime trilogy wasn't particularly good (I did like a lot of stuff in the third film, but by then it was too little too late), I did think that Singular Point was phenomenal. So Netflix kaiju anime's track record isn't totally a lost cause.
I haven't seen Pacific Rim: The Black. Pacific Rim: Uprising left such an awful taste in my mouth that I just don't have the heart to look at anything in that franchise ever again unless Guillermo del Toro were to come back to it.
With this, Netflix will now eventually be home to animated Godzilla, Kong, Ultraman, Pacific Rim, and Gamera projects. I haven't watched any of the current Ultraman animated series on Netflix, but I am very excited for the unrelated animated film that will be coming to the platform at some point.
