This is a helpful guide for how to get AvP Extinction running on your PC. It can be an awkward process if you don't know anything about emulators. First, you'll need the emulator.

PS2 Emulator: http://pcsx2.net/download/releases/windows/viewcategory/6-windows.html

You'll need a PS2 BIOS: https://mega.nz/#!hQQAVDxB!62SziqaZ8YExS62kz8ZHvU047QB3Io1v4x37KpGj6kY They go in your bios folder (Documents\PCSX2\bios).

Controller Support

You can set up any Windows controller, even your keyboard but you really need analogue sticks. I'm using my PS3 pad connected to my PC via USB. You'll need the MotionJoy drivers for that: http://www.motioninjoy.com/download Don't think you can use a PS4 control pad yet though.

You'll need to go into the emulator Config>Controllers>Plugin Settings and match up the buttons with the buttons/sticks on your pad.

AvP Extinction ISO: https://mega.nz/#!YcolUI7Y!sYkCuJHy6alKq0N7SmmI6KJdRdSqtDoaK1WcObjcY5U (515MB)

Predator Concrete Jungle ISO: https://mega.nz/#!5ABWwYxT!SvYZo4jMzp1khgRS7DJMG980hbmN1031OVASy2zjGAU (1.06GB)

Simply drag the ISO into the window and go to System>Boot CDVD. And bingo, the game works fine.

Any chance of getting the mouse working here?

No.

That's interesting because older games like Alien: Resurrection could be played with a mouse (even on the emulator).

What did play AR on?

Played AR on the ePSXe. There was some trouble with configuring the mouse but finally got it working. AR would have been unplayable with a keyboard only for me.

Been a good few years since I tried this badboy out. Still works fine for me. I'm using the X360 controller now which is easier.

You need to drag the iso into the pcsx window, then  click System -> Boot CDVD.  Make sure the Bios is properly loaded too.

Hot damn, it works, and works with a Steam Controller.

Time to relive happiness.

Side note: I've been asked by a couple of friends on how to get PCSX2 installed correctly and how to do the bios thing along with what needs to be done to get a Steam Controller to work with the game. Short video included for anyone who may be lost on the subject

Is there any particular reason to use the PS2 version?  I played on Xbox back in the day and that seems like it would make a better emulator... right?

No, I just used it because I had the PS2 version at the time. It probably would make more sense to use the X360 one but I don't know what the state of the emulators are like for the 360.
