My dog can work the lights, and with exposed wiring, I am pretty sure he could figure it out (I don't know about escaping electrocution, though lol)

Alien's don't use guns, either.  And in unarmed combat, with few exceptions, a dog will f**k you up real good, if not outright kill you.
