Update (25/06/14): A limited edition for the previously announced art-book for Alien: Isolation has now been revealed via Forbidden Planet (https://forbiddenplanet.com/123237-the-art-of-alien-isolation-limited-edition-hardcover/#product-description). The special edition of the book will be limited to 500 copies worldwide and comes with a print signed by concept artist Bradley Wright. Glad they're doing one, but why must it come out before the game does?!? Gonna be hard to avoid cracking that thing open...  :P

Pity the 'Sebastopol' is looking like a re-hash of whatever the Nostromo was towing...

In related news, Creative Assembly has now confirmed that the studio won’t be releasing a playable demo of Alien: Isolation prior release date.

They both say hardcover. Same as the Forbidden Planet.

They are all hardcover but there's a limited edition that costs double.

I preordered the original release immediately, and see no reason to upgrade to this one.

This games has some really impressive concept art. Some of that stuff looks like finished works! Love those pencil sketches of the Alien itself too. Must have.

I think so but the cover for both is the exact same and it hasn't been stated that they are different afaik. It's usually just an scaled down version of the same thing with these pre-order exclusives.

Actually I just noticed it says something among the lines "The images from this book are extracted from The Art of Alien: Isolation, available at Titan Books".

Kinda weird since the mini book also says The Art of Alien Isolation on the cover but I guess it could be just a small extract indeed and not just an scaled down version.

Do want....

I bought my copy a few days ago and loved it! I was a tad disappointed that the introduction mentioned that it's only a "small portion" of the artwork and concept art from the CA studio. That being said, an artbook with over 300 pages is still a fantastic read.

In my opinion, It should've included more concept art for the characters.
