Sega, Obsidian & Gearbox To Do New Aliens Games (Read 2,254 times)

Earlier, Sega officially confirmed that they had acquired the license to do two new Aliens games for the Next-Gen consoles. They have since released the teaser site for the games. On the initial launch Gearbox and Obsidian were both featured at the bottom of the page.

While they have both been taken down now, it is reasonable to assume that both developers will be working with Sega on the new games. Gearbox is most well known for it’s PC port of Halo and the Brother In Arms game franchise. Obsidian is known for the popular RPG, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It is more than likely that Gearbox will be developing the FPS and Obsidian the RPG.

However, nothing has officially been confirmed and may have only been a blunder. View the original article. Thanks to PlanetAvP for the news.

I wonder if Sega is only going to do Aliens games or if they will do AVP ones as well...

Depends how sucessful and good the Aliens ones are really. I mean, if their Aliens games do well, it wouldn't take Fox much to give them the Vs Predator extension.
