The Lost Media community would have a FIELD DAY with this. If someone from the Lost Media community found the American Sailor Moon pilot, they might be able to find this...

Buuuuut that's a TALL ORDER... especially if Disney vaulted the AVP anime.

SiL

Disney didn't, Fox did.

Yeah, a lot of the articles keep getting this wrong. It wasn't Disney who put it away. Fox made it way before the buyout and shelved it themselves. Most likely because AvP was considered a "bad word" at Fox due to the failure of the films and Ridley doing his thing with the prequels.

Original series adaptation?  I'd watch that for sure.  Not a big fan of Aliens and Predators being together in the official canon, but this would be enjoyable as a separate thing.

Lost Media is just a meme. I can't say too much as to how I know this.

That said Disney is very protective of its brands acquisitions moreso than David Giller naysaying Aliens Earth War or AVP as an alternative to the final made sequel- Alien 3 back in 1992.

As for people skeptical of CGI animation I watched Shinji Aramaki and was blown away by his Appleseed (2004). Sure it did look like a PsOne cut scene in the stills or YouTube/IGN trailers but a full blu-ray download sired a very decent action film with insane world building.

If there was a 2D anime for AVP, which studio and director would be best for the job? I like Studio Trigger's work on Cyberpunk 2077 anime but something keeps pulling me back on seeing their style on AVP.

Madhouse. Although I have no idea what they've done lately. But the HBO Spawn series is the only 2D anime that doesn't drive me up the wall, visually.

Nightmare Asylum

Neat, so we have a title, a few more story details, and confirmation of a Queen's presence.

Takes place on an "immigration ship" (a colony ship a la the Covenant, though likely much larger, I'd imagine), and we know from the prior reports that it is set post-Resurrection.

Man, I wish they'd just release this thing...

I wonder if anyone got photos of the images that were shown at this event?

Corporal Hicks

I've had a look but can't see anything as yet.

SiL

So the title from Anderson's AvP script?

Yes, it's not actually the artwork from the series. I say in the article it hadn't made its way online. :)
