Alien Romulus comic prequel = Alien Isolation book

Wweyland

Oh yeah, Isolation had a somewhat forgettable prequel comic.

Xiggz456

So hyped for this after seeing the film!

As for the Derelict being made out of "human DNA" by the Aliens, it's silly/out there but also, it's the element from Blomkamp's overall concept that I found to be the most interesting. I'd be curious to learn more about that piece of the puzzle. I'm sure it wouldn't have been particularly good, but it's way more interesting/wild a concept than I would have expected from a movie that otherwise seems to have had the aspiration to be an adaptation of the Kenner Aliens stuff, more or less.

I could get behind the xenos having technology. O'Bannon originally had the Xeno as intelligent and having a civilization on LV426 in his backstory to Alien.

Absolutely not!

It would be great if this ended up in a compilation TPB of sorts.  But what TPB?  This sounds like it just stands on its own.  They should maybe just adapt the whole film into a 3 part series then we could get a nice compiled volume.

Awful. This is so Marvel. Not into their take at all.
Just my opinion. Marvel have no subtly or style

Yes I agree whole heartedly. I would rather have Dark Horse Comics do the prequel comic than marvel.

Nightmare Asylum

Sooo I guess given the bit of info that came out today regarding the movie, in this comic we're likely to see...

Spoiler
...a panel of Ripely, still in cryo on the Narcissus as it is docked somewhere in Renaissance Station (presumably, while Big Chap is doing some damage to the scientists stationed here)...
[close]

...in this comic, I'd imagine.

They were likely holding her there for the company to pick up later, she is a loose thread that could ruin everything, we gotta remember, it takes over 2 weeks to send and receive messages, they likely found her years after finding Chap and it's unlikely WY knew the station had gone to shit by the time Rain's crew arrived, so this won't mess with the timeline at all

TheDerelict

Was the 170 days from the moment the found it or from when the opened it up on the station? How long would it have taken the probe that had BC to get back to the station?
Could BC of woken up within hours of being brought on board?
I got the impression everything went tits up only a couple of days before Rain and the gang turned up as the bodies are not that far gone.

D8ton_Cracka

I'm hearing Disney read the comment and decided it's gonna be rated R 'adults only'. Which is okay with me. Hopefully that doesn't make it harder for younger fans to get a hold of it.

170 days since it was brought on board I believe.
