I have VERY FOND MEMORIES of this game. Spent countless hours playing it. In fact, I enjoyed it more than any other Alien VS Predator or Alien game ever (except for Isolation of course which is by far the best Alien video game), because it focused on the Aliens, contained gameplay mechanics which made the game really creepy and oppressive, and the overall atmosphere was extremely dark.

Not a fan of the way the face-hugger is reduced to a health-depleting enemy rather than a deadly threat, and I'm frankly bewildered by the "story" which makes literally no sense - I'll talk more about it later - and in the end the game is quite repetitive, but I still enjoyed it A LOT.

Spent many a happy hour with this one as a kid. I loved the opening cinematic with the lander. God, this game was so much fun.

I've mucked around with it on an emulator.  Fun, but I kept dying so often I had to use cheat codes so I could play through - and I never use cheat codes.  Some of them later levels would've been near impossible otherwise!

Ah, so you wore the pink acid boots?  No shame in that, sometimes I did though I did complete it once without the codes.

Games were freakin hard back then, but we just didn't know it. Honed our skills.

Whenever I play mega man 2 now it's like "oh my god".

This was in my TODO list for like 20 years and finally got around to it last year. Was really in trouble in the Garage level but got a hang of things later and it became easier. Also made good use of the quick save function on the PS emulator. Finished it!

Impressive work on the figures my dude.

And because no one has done it yet, I'll post some snippets of the soundtrack.

Garage was the first level I got stuck on as a kid. You feel so exposed, there's aliens everywhere, and it's your first real exposure to multiple levels of terrain/droplifts. Very easy to not find anything and run in circles in a blind panic.

I have PTSD from this game. Well.. I'm an adult now so it's reduced to a mere shudder when I hear the OST and see the visuals, but it's there!
Gosh I was horrified when the face hugger filled the entire TV screen, disgusting visuals for a child.

Well.. I guess that the time has finally come for me to return to this god forsaken nightmare... damn you OP.. damn you...  ;D

It actually holds up pretty well, all things considered.

I still listen to the soundtrack regularly.

I've posted tracks in other threads before. It really sticks in your head.

The main theme still rocks.

Yeah, I'm the same! I regularly revisit the soundtrack for Trilogy. Absolute classic.

The game was a reason I purchased a PS1 console together with it in 1996. It is my favorite Alien franchise based game without Predators in it.

Mine to...Alien Trilogy and Street Fighter Alpha were my reasons for getting a PS1.
