Quotet's time to run, hide and pray on 26th April as 'Alien Day' returns to Cineworld, in advance of Alien: Covenant's release on 12th May.
The annual celebration of the classic sci-fi horror franchise will get you ready for Ridley Scott's chilling new Alien movie, one that re-acquaints us with the dreaded Xenomorph.
To celebrate this special milestone we're offering an 'Alien Superticket' that will unlock the world of the Alien saga. Here's what it gets you:
Access to an Alien double bill on 'Alien Day' at Cineworld, where we'll be showing Alien Director's Cut and Prometheus – plus there will be introductions from Ridley Scott, TWO spine-tingling extended scenes teasing Alien: Covenant, and an exclusive bridge piece between Prometheus and Alien: Covenant which can't be seen anywhere else!
A special preview of Alien Covenant on 11th May which you can only get access to with this Superticket
So what do you need to know?
You need to keep your ticket from the double bill to access the preview screening – you will be in the same seat you're booking for the double bill.
Tickets are on sale now
So if you're brave enough, click here to book your Alien Superticket – and don't forget to look behind you...
https://www.cineworld.co.uk/blog/alien-day-superticket
I wonder what this means. Whether it's just that Next Chapter video or something entirely new?
Hmmm I suspect it may be just what we've seen. I kinda don't want to see the two extended scenes so close to release either, so I may have to skip this as much as my instincts tell me I need to be there!
Maybe another prologue with David and Shaw.
As for the rest of the info: the two "spine-tingling" scenes are probably the same ones from SXSW and showcases.
But: it does say that people who see the double bill can attend a sneak showing of Covenant!
Says tickets are on sale and yet there's nowhere to buy them. ???
Maybe they filmed some stuff with Noomi, that takes place right after Prometheus.
I hope the bridge piece is not
Spoiler
David bombing the engineers/inhabitants of paradise.

I don't think it's actually live yet unfortunately. Their social media pages may have jumped the gun.
If I can get a ticket I'll report back on the Covenant footage.

Good! Thanks for that. Added to the wishlist. Hopefully they'll email ahead of time.
I'm glad to see Shaw prominently featured in this featurette; at the very least it gives me some confidence they didn't just

Depends on if it's going to take place at every Cineworld.
Please tell me this will eventually be released online or on the Blu-ray... :(
Looked up Cineworld's site and they have an Alien/Aliens double bill: https://www.cineworld.co.uk/films/alien-aliens-the-directors-cuts-alien-day-double-bill
Then the Alien/Prometheus/Covenant bill: https://www.cineworld.co.uk/films/alien-superticket
I don't think I could bear Prometheus in the cinema again. Aliens, though, definitely.

I'm a little confused by this. It says it's for Alien Day but the dates in the ticket selection are the day before Covenant's release. :-\
Also, here's what Odeon are saying about their super tickets -
Quote18:30 - Doors open/ pre show begins
18:55 - Prometheus begins (124 mins)
20:59 - Break (10 mins)
21:09 - Ridley Scott intro (1min)
21:10 - Alien Covenant sneak peak - (14 mins)
21:24 - Noomi Rapace/ Michael Fassbender intro - What happened to Dr. Shaw, exclusive footage (4 mins)
21:26 - Alien, directors cut (117 mins)
23:23 - Programme finishes

Seems like Cineworld only running this for 3 UK cinemas as well. Hoping they expand this list.

It seems Cineworld are showing Alien and Aliens for 4/26 (hate writing it that way...) and Odeon are showing Alien and Prometheus. I have both cinemas that are sort of equidistant to me so I'd probably go to Cineworld,
I've booked tickets to the Odeon (save my soul) so we'll have to see how the Covenant stuff differs.
I got Odeon tickets for Milton Keynes. I knew I'd regret it if I didn't. I don't know what I'm gonna do with the preview Covenant tickets though I planned to see the film elsewhere in London!

Well i would assume that's new cause this is the first i've heard of that footage, and it wasn't mentioned in previous press events.
I mean how it differs between the various cinema chains. I expect we're getting the same scenes as the Showcase for the 14 minute long preview.

Lol, its hardly that. They aren't even allowed to touch it, you literally hold it open and they glance inside. Ive smuggled in bags of popcorn, candy ect... with no problem.
So the other theatres screening Alien won't also be showing the A:C footage? Just participating Regal Cinemas?
Got my tickets for cineworld , never seen Alien on the big screen, so excited 😆
TFW there's no showings in your state.
Got my tickets booked yo! Can't wait!
2nd year in a row now where Maryland gets shafted SMFH!!! Went to the double screening last year for Alien & AlienS in West VA, but unfortunately the car I have now is pretty unreliable so no long trips for me HURRAY. honestly though why are there no screenings in MD or DC? I know I'm not the only Alien/Predator fan living here.

I just found this on regmovies.com - I guess buying a ticket enters you in a Sweepstakes. More info will probably be available on the site as of 4/18/17. Looks like you win 100,000 credits from Regal.

Anyone in the UK having any luck with Cineworld bookings??? I hate the service...
I live in Odessa, Ukraine and, on Alien Day, one of the movie theater's in my city is offering a showing of Alien's Director's Cut (without translation) and an exclusive footage from Covenant with a message from Ridley. The overall running time is 138 minutes, so I presume the additional stuff is around 20 minutes in length? Anyway, just got my ticket for around 4 dollars.

Nope. Apparently Cineworld won't be going live with their Alien Day tickets until next Monday (according to a phone conversation that I had with their head office today)
