Current Update, I have to say If I had released this early there would have
been many bugs, and crashes most undesirable and a total disaster. It's a good thing I test this
and play through it as most everything is now built and and soon ready
for public consumption, This week I'll be giving it a through play through
to make sure everything works. The save system still sucks, however
I'll see if a better solution can be had if I can come up with something
other than the current system I have in place. If not then it will have to do.
For now you can save your position in a level but not the level AND position.
or you can Load a level and then your position.
It's complicated with three different player modes.
I've been working on this everyday since this past August with at least 18 hour days
everyday to get this the way I would like it to be.
The action is there and everything else, yet this still bothers me
with the crappy save/load antiquated features as
Unreal Engine should have a better system to begin with.
Aside from that, I am working on getting it finished as soon as I can
To share with everyone eager to try this project.
And I look forward to hearing about the experiences from everybody.

Thanks for the update bladeghost! Save system sounds like a right pain. Can it do something like the save stations from Isolation?

That would be like giving a xenomorph a credit card,(I'm being silly) so probably not especially with three different species. If it was just one player I would have used the easy save plugin that works for a single player only. As it doesn't work properly for 3. I'm still looking into this and to see what can be done. Otherwise I just need to test everything else to be sure it all works as it is. Thanks J

Checkpoints might work best, taking a cue from our good friend Halo.

I tell ya both what I'd like to do is have you two, BlueMarsalis79, and Corporal Hicks to try out an early access version and have a better understanding of what's going on. Perhaps you both can have a test run and get back to me with your feedback, that would be most appreciated.
This way you can see what I'm talking about.
It's still a mess in some parts, but playable. what do you folks say? Thanks! J

I'm so sorry to hear that, However I Thank you for your interest. as for checkpoints, again I have 3 species being 3 different players and would conflict with each other. so that may not be applicable. Thanks for the suggestion :) Cheers! J

I was just curious, do you known anyone with the same expertise as you that can help with you this? Just to make things a little easier?

Hi, Unfortunatly I do not. not on the standard I've set.
I've written so much code my brains are turning into spaghetti.
and then I have to go back and playtest all of that as well.
Fortunatly I've been able to fix alot of things, and I'm glad I found them.
As some were game breaking crashes and bugs. When things don't work
I do get frustrated, yet I'll keep fixing things on it until it's working.
The project on a whole is in much better shape now than it was recently.
As I do work on it everyday. Everything is built now, it's the testing
and refining that's taking time. The save system is still basic because
there is in essence 5 basic player types to choose from.

Lol that is a very very fair point. My mind was stuck on the Colonial Marine campaign for some reason.

Unless...you can make it visually different for each species? A hived up host, or an egg for the Alien for example?
