My educated guess on how long everyone was watched..

Well in the movie tie in comics, at the end of the 4th issue, a cloaked predator was watching Royce's mission he was on of getting rid of some insurgents in some back water African state which took like 2 to 3 days to complete. And in the script Royce in the opening was nabbed as he completed a mission, as was everyone else.
