"Boring" lol, CDL's documentaries remain pretty entertaining to me honestly, this' just a watered down version. I don't know if people's attention spans have degraded that much.
it had to be there was a lot to fit in considering the making of documentary of aliens was nearly 3 hours. There's not many people on netflix who would want to sit through a boring making of documentary of a 35 year old movie.
I watched a chunk yesterday but was too tired. Just felt like the other few of the series I'd seen. Was nice to see some other bits of the early days that I hadn't seen get much focus outside of Rinzler's book get some attention. Was also really nice to see Rinzler was involved in this too.
I will agree that the tone of this episode was really hard to stand. But if you stick with it you'll get some great tidbits and insight about the making of the film that I don't think was covered so much before. Also it's always great to see everyone and how they are doing. Granted most of the info was well tread but after sticking through it till the end I found it quite worth it.
There was also a very touching segment about Bill.
I tried to get through the Aliens episode but couldn't stomach the narrator, sound effects, and terrible quick cuts. Seemed like nostalgia-porn trash to me.
