Arachnophobia (1990).  I have to say, this movie held up a lot better than what I was expecting.

This was one of those movies where I've been hesitant to revisit for that reason you've mentioned. I remember liking it but it's been so long since I've watched it...

Some are fun to go back and watch, while others (short circuit) not so much......

Yeah, I was really expecting some super goofy fun when I sat down to rewatch it, but was surprised at how serious (for lack of a better word) of a movie it is. The music is pretty good, the acting also, John Goodman's character is memorable lol.

Something that definitely helps is the minimal special effects. They used real spiders for pretty much the whole movie, which is impressive.

Arachnophobia has the top jumpscare count of any movie I've ever watched.

It isn't super scary but damn I jumped all the time in that film.

There are two movies that jump scared me like that and I don't think either of them are scary in the your gonna go try and sleep and think about me instead kind of way.

The other is What Lies Beneath.

Nightmare Alley (4/5)

Damn this was a good movie. I was hesitant because I didn't care for The Shape of Water so I went into this with middle expectations...and it was a beautifully shot movie. Definitely one of De Toros best, up there with Pans Labyrinth.

King of the kickboxers 1990

So bad it's good kickboxing cheese.  This film should be featured on an episode of Redlettermedia's best of the worst.

Antlers (2.75/5)
I'd say it was interesting, nothing more, nothing less.

Kimi (2/5)
Some of the camera shots were neat...but that's seriously it.

Uncharted

This was a mid tier, perfectly enjoyable movie that needed a better director and much better villains.

I still can't get over Mark Whalberg as Sully.

I want some of what that casting department were smoking.
