Dark Feed.

DVD from poundland with an awesome lenticular 3D cover. Sadly that was the best bit.

Poundland? Sounds like a porno label  ;D
It refers to our currency, not our bedroom habits. If it was the latter I think there'd be a slight outcry!

The Thing (2011)

It's so disappointing knowing that there's a version of this film which has the practical effects and not the dodgy cgi. Better than I remembered, though.

Hellboy (the new one)

I remember this getting shitcanned, but I thought it was decent.  Main problems were Harbour's makeup and over-acting - which is a big problem considering.  And having read a lot of Hellboy comics (a fair time ago so maybe I forgot) - this was very sweary and gory.

I tend to agree SM. Big Hellboy reader myself and I actually enjoyed it for the most part.
Didn't mind Harbour ... thought he nailed Hellboy and was every bit as good as Perlman.

My biggest issue was the miscasting of McShane as he was nothing like Bruttenholm of the books. Too sweary... too young and too much of an arsehole actually. John Hurt's performance was far more accurate in my book.

I dig McShane and liked him in this - excessive language aside - but yeah Hurt was better.

Night of the living dead (criterion 4K)

I've never seen this movie so clean before. I noticed so much more in details and couldn't be more satisfied with it.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Not quite as good as the first and has more than its share of flaws, but still very enjoyable on the whole. The Babysitter 1 & 2 > every other McG movie, and it's not even close.

Enola Holmes

Millie Bobby Brown's instant likeable charm really elevates this fun little film. A great supporting cast too. Well made. I'd be up for a sequel.

Finally watched this and it's pretty good! Kinda wish there was more Keaton but one of the more enjoyable Spider-Man movies..

Richard Jewell
Eastwood at it again. Sam Rockwell is magic in pretty much anything he does and the rest of the cast are just as stellar.
