I liked this one more this time than I have previously. I just wish that Hopkins had been told to tone it the f**k down, it's like he was under the impression he was in a camp spoof. And Hugo Weaving has to be the world's worst detective here, no wonder he couldn't catch the Ripper.

Half of Blade Runner 2049.
Utterly majestic. Reminded me again why this was MY favourite film of the past decade. Yes it's very self indulgent at times and Denis does love to linger on those silent moments but oh man... this film for me personally is a worthy sequel to the original.

Had to take a break as at 1:30am I really needed to get to sleep. 2nd half tonight.

I hope Denis hits the same levels with Dune.

... and yes that is a Conestoga class ship in the clouds
