Have you got to the point where every 80s horror movie had to have a heavy metal theme song yet?

I watched Part 6 last night, which has an Alice Cooper theme, so yes.

;D

Instantly think of Shocker (with Megadeth's excellent `No more Mr Nice Guy' cover) or Trick or Treat (with that great cameo from Ozzy)

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

One of the very best in the series. ;D

Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

Not bad, but not great either.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Vancouver

This one is a goddamn endurance test. Just a chore to watch, and it being the longest of the original eight doesn't help.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

I'll readily admit that it makes no goddamn sense as a part of the franchise, but it's a fun ride with some good characters.

Terminator Salvation - Pretty cool.  Probably the best of the post T2 sequels.

Murder Most Foul (1963)
A semi comedy take on a Miss Marple mystery.

I always felt that film got a lot of unnecessary flack. Out of all the sequels in the series it's the only one that actually tries to tell a different story and not just reinvent the first 2. I didn't mind Bale as Connor - found him believable as he always brings that intensity in most of his performances. Worthington obviously doesn't have the same level as Bale but still believable. Yelchin (RIP) was always good value too.

And most of all we finally got a dedicated film set in the actual future.

Jason X

Meh. Could have done more with the premise.

Freddy vs Jason

Silly fun.

Friday the 13th (2009)

Slowly growing on me, I suppose. The cinematographer did carry over his hatred of basic lighting from AVPR, but things were generally more visible here.

This.

It had issues but at least it felt vaguely fresh.

Pacific Rim Uprising

Finally got to see this. And I fully agree with the consensus that it's crap. A shame, because the first was so much fun.
