had a chance to play this in earls court last friday at the convention.

Gotta say i was impressed with what i saw. It was tense and atmospheric and really made me feel like i was there in the nostromo in the closing minutes of ALien.

have to admit though that after being killed about 5 times, i spent the next few minutes hiding in the locker. When the ALien stood outside and i forgot to pull the trigger to hold my breathe it actually made me feel more tense then any other game i have played in recent memory.

the feeling of being so helplessly out matched is where this game triumphs.
I wonder how the main game compares to this survial mode.
overall, it was the game i was most imprressed with at the show.

So some thoughts following Thursday. Easily the best of the booths I saw in terms of queuing time. Folk were limited to 10 minute plays and the queue just kept moving. So kudos to Sega/Creative Assembly on that.

The very nature of Survivor mode is completely different to the main single player. The whole idea to be fast and not take your time. And  given that speed based nature of the mode and the demo, there wasn't really time to fully explore and experience the map at hand.

That said, it was still an intense experience and time slowed down as that Alien slithered down from the vent to block me and slow my time down. I had to have 5 goes before I was able to complete the demo and each play through was completely different which I really liked. It was just a case of learning the map and out-doing the Alien.

4th time the Alien wouldnt leave me alone downstairs, causing me to waste my flamethrower. Nearly made it but time was called.  :(

Took 5 goes but I finished it. Just over 3 minutes. I was 4th on the board when I left.

Wow. Survivor is so hard.

Argh! I made it to the end but panicked, shit my pants and got killed by the Alien. So annoyed at myself. XD

I cannot wait for this game.

I entered that I was 28 and it said I wasn't old enough to view the page. LOL.

I was amused when one of the developers responded to a question and admitted that he'd like to make another game like Isolation based on the environments in Alien3.

Should I start hoping for DLC with Fury 161 maps now? lol

Coool. I'll wait for more reviews on PS4 vs PC, but it sounds like PC is the way to go first then

I think it was PS4, Xbox-One and PC. The queue for PC was the longest. And it looked so pretty.

Was the PC platform present? Or only the console ones? I'm thinking of getting a PS4 for various games, and am wondering if I should pick up a copy of AI for the PC or PS4 first, then getting the other later on discount. I like experiencing both gaming worlds as the analog immersion is different using different input devices.
