Remember back when you first started watching the series? We all had our fair share of beliefs that we thought were 100% true, but turned out the be a total load a crap. I'll give some examples of stuff that I used to think:
* I thought the Predator in Predator 2 where brothers
* The Elder Predator can be seen as a clone in A:R
* I thought that Runner can brak and roll over since it was part Dog
* I thought the Alien Skull in Predator 2 was a Raptor Skull
* I thought i saw Freddy glove next to the Alien skull in Predator 2 but i was wrong :-[ :-\
This was back when i was 8 or 9 in the 90's.
When I first saw the trailer for Alien Quad DVD I thought the storyline for Alien was completely different. I thought the scenes for Alien were A:R's because they looked the grainiest. I thought Ripley was some sort of Alien Hunter that the crew pick up and there mysteriously happens to be an Alien on board. (This was before I had saw any of the movies of coarse)
when i saw predator, i though they where in Vietnam. then appeared Anna, must be Colombia. The fact is they used Val Verde:
"Val Verde is a fictional country used by Hollywood filmmakers when they require a South/Central American country without getting into legal or diplomatic disputes. In general it is a Spanish-speaking country resembling Cuba or Nicaragua."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Val_Verde_(fictional_country) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Val_Verde_(fictional_country))
I thought the aliens were like dinosaurs.
I thought a facehugger had an eye on its back.
I thought that the scene following the fire in the tunnel in AlienĀ³ the prisoners were actually ghosts because they were walking slow. I wasn't used to Fincher's brand of cinematography, so to an 11-year-old it took some getting used to.
I thought the aliens in Aliens were Mantis Aliens from KENNERs Alien toyline.
I thought Newt was Ripleys genetic daughter.
I thought that the events from Aliens resulted from the cat in the first movie having little eggs laid inside of it when it was stuck inside that cage when the alien came nearby. Stuuuuuuupid! ::)
I thought that the picture on the back of the AvP 1 disk DVD of a guy being Facehugged was a picture of a skeleton grabbing some guys face, I thought the part of the resin in the same picture was a Dinosaur's leg. I thought that the Predator's masks were their faces. There was more but I forget.
Well, for one thing I thought Aliens came before Alien. I thought the Queen on Board the Sulaco had somehow hatched out of Bishop, I thought the Alien head looked like a Chicken Leg with the skin torn off. I also used to think that when they said "Guerilla" in Predator, they meant actual gorillas.
Before you judge me to harshly, remember that I was barely out of diapers the first time I saw Predator, the two Alien movies came only a little latter.
I'm sure I can remember better ones but i can only remember this one right now, but i use to think those aliens in the water from A:R were "aqua aliens" after seeing these stupid aqua aliens figures advertised at the store.

I thought the same thing about the Guerillas.
B/c the first time I saw Aliens it was the last 20 or so minutes, I thought Newt was Ripley's daughter.
For some weird reason, I thought that in Predator both Dutch and Blain were using mini-guns in the main shootout near the beginning. :P
As an impressionable eleven-year-old I initially thought that the predator fed on heat, because of the scene where the scorpion becomes cold on its hand, and that its cloak actually allowed it to run through material objects, mistaking the scene where it's running up to Dillon for it actually passing through the trunks of the trees.
As for Aliens, I was absolutely positive there was a scene in the hive where you could see the flying alien queen from the kenner toys moving out from camouflage against the hive wall.
I though the Predator was a Really, Really evil person (until he takes his mask off, of course).
I was 8 year old.
I thought facehuggers and aliens were two different species. :-\
Haha, coz they look different?
When I was little I thought Bishop had the whole Alien Queen inside of him when the tail came through him.
^ Again, so did I, and I had a real what the f**k moment, even when I as in the single digits, that didn't make sense to my young brain.
Also, in between viewings of Alien, I forgot the Alien had a tail. I also used to think that Predators had three toes, like a T-Rex. I don't know why.

lol, yeah. :D They looked
WAY too different.
I used to get confused between Alien and Aliens. I thought they were the same movie for awhile.
I thought the sequel to Alien was called Alien 2, and that Aliens was the sequel to A2. It took a while to clue in Aliens was the sequel to Alien and Alien 2 never existed.

There is an Alien 2. It's some low budget Italian flick.
Is it in any way tied to the Alien films?

It's an unofficial sequel to Alien.
Isn't that movie about a big red blob that bursts out of that one chicks face and then melts people who touch it?
Yes. And quite unwatchable.
It's even worse than Alien Vs Hunter, so that should tell you something.
That is an impossibility.
OMG, I almost forgot, lol. :D When I was younger I didnt know there was an "Alien 3", I always thought it went from "Aliens" to "Alien Resurrection". lmao I was always confused whenever I watched "Alien Resurrection" because I didnt know Ripley died in the previous movie. :P
I used to think the derelict was a cave, but thats about it.
I used to think that Ripley had sexual intercourse with the queen to make the Newborn (that whole kidnapping ripley scene).
The very first time I watched ALIEN 3, my puny brain couldn't process the series of brief images that comprised the opening credits. I thought the inverted egg was the end of the queen's ovipositor and I mistook the outstretched legs of the facehugger for the queen's fingers. I believed the queen had somehow gotten back on the Sulaco, set up shop in the cryo room, and exacted a grisly revenge on the survivors.
The sad thing is that the actual events were just as implausable.

That doesn't surprise me, considering how Ripley behaved in the rest of the film :P
I first stumbled upon AvP years ago in the "Batman vs. Predator" comics.
I thought the Predator was only a character in the Batman comics and was shocked when I heard of the movies, and even more shocked that Arnold Shwarzennagger* starred in it. :\
*Can't spell his name right. ...Swarzeneeger? Shwartsenagger? Shawartsonagoanaegsdrerer?? Ah, fergit dis!
Haha that's a first.

Haha that's a first.
I know right. I've never been so shocked
I used to think that the drone aliens laid the eggs, until i saw Aliens of course.
last time i thought predators are male and aliens are female.
I thought in A:R that the scene were #8 is supposedly molting in her cell was just #8 in a white trashbag. You all know what i'm talking about.

dude, me too.... haha
I don't think I had many. I didn't get a chance to watch the movies until I was older, due to my family being strict about R rated movies. :'(
My first experience with Predator was in the comics with 'Tarzan vs predator'. I remember being very confused about what the f**k was going on in that comic.
Hahaha... I can't believe this, but... Oh god... I actually used to think aliens were intelligent, strong and fierce creatures before I saw AvP2 Hahaha... That's just classic.
That's b/c they are. AvP:R didn't portray the aliens properly.
haha...C'mon Doom. Is your sarcastic meter functioning properly?
I knew what was going on when I watched Predator and Aliens back in the day. Thanks to my dad of course.
I thought Alien 3 took place before Aliens since there was no Alien 2 in the title.
For some reason when I was younger I always thought the Newborn said Ripleys name just before it got sucked out the window.
When Chet was injecting her victims I thought they were enzymes that broke down the host body and turned them into an egg.
Silly me.
I thought the series where based on comics books since I read the comics fist before I seen the movies.
The first movie was.
^Well I mean that I thought Alien and Predator where comics books first then movies.
not sure if I posted this or not but I used to believe that Aliens vs Predator was the only franchise and that Aliens/Predator were spin offs.
Lulz, you musta felt weird when you realized it was the reverse.
