With good reason.  That might very well be the best-looking practical effects alien built to date.  The perfect combination of what has come before.

The CG shots posted here are the closest that particular Alien style comes to being any good at all, in my opinion.

I think the second shot is the one single most beautiful render of this creature ever shown. It looks so much better with this smooth, slow, majestic and sinister way of movement. I absolutely adore this short glimpse, the only thing image remotely close to it being the shot in Aliens, with the creature showing up behind Newt.

The shot of the Alien tail showing up behind Brett is my second favourite, but it's not really an image of the creature, it's just about the way it moves - it's so f**king real... The rendition of the Aliens in the comic book Apocalypse: Destroying Angels is also very cool, though I'm not very fond of the unguligrade feet. Can't find any images though.
