So...many....tips....
For the single player, it can be scary playing as the marine. Always check your mission status - TAB. Remember to quick save your game - F6, if you don't want to go back playing stuff all over again.
You can get lost a lot playing the first time but its not a big deal. Check your motion tracker and watch those corners.
If/when you get to the multiplayer part we'll go from there.
It's hella fun.
Also, the pulse rifle is the best Marine weapon.

Hey Alex, what did you say was the problem with the master server you got?
Game freeze, then I got the usual error, which I can't remember right now.
I can't check right now, though, since I lent the game discs to a friend in an effort to get him interested in AvP2010.

There must be something you are missing. So far the 1.21 version worked for everyone, just wasn't showing the servers and you had to join trough IP. Which isn't such a bad thing.

I was using the latest version, which is 1.23 if I'm not mistaken.

Remember to get the Savior patch if you'd like to play online.
For single player, if you expect an alien to come around a corner, it will. There is likely a few behind you as well. Aliens were unpredictable, sort of, in the first game. In the second, it's all scripted.
also, dont be afraid of anything, just extremely cautious. aliens are aliens, there wont be ghost to haunt you(if preds dont count) so keep yourself togeter when shit hits the fan.
and when the music gets frantic, RUN. ;)

ok i got another question i've been asking ( but got no answers) what are the controls for the predator, alien, and marine. if i buy the game do i have to get anything else (something about a joystick, do i really need it). K thanks guys
Have you ever played a PC FPS before?
If you have, it controls exactly like them.
If not, then forget about the joystick. A mouse and a keyboard are all you need. As you play, the game will instruct you on which keys do what. If you like, you can check from the Options menu at any time (or rebind the keys if you prefer a different setup).
