Godzilla x Kong is one of very very few films which has gotten a novelization in the past few years. The only others in the last couple of years I'm aware of are Halloween Ends and the two Rebel Moon films. It sadly looks like novelizations are almost completely gone. One small sign of hope is Tim Waggoner, author of Alien: Prototype, did just announce novelizations for the three recent horror films X, Pearl, and MaXXXine. Hopefully we see novelizations starting to return, but right now it looks like Titan is opting not to bother.

This feels more like a highly specific push to really cash in on the pulpy, period nature of those movies and the kind of cheap paperbacks that would have accompanied them in their day, rather than any sign of novelizations on the whole really coming back now. It feels much closer to what Quentin Tarantino did with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Ok, so now the movie is out, and it is good.  People like it.  Does anyone thing this increases the chances of a novelization?

Nightmare Asylum

Not really, no. It'd be well past the mark of being relevant by the time it landed on shelves.

Well, we got the Alien Isolation Novelization long after the release of the game, so there is hope.

So as of yet, we're still no closer to knowing if we're getting one or not

This makes nooooooo sense.  They're up to something!

This is what I think will happen.  I think That Marvel will publish an Alien Romulus art book.  Firstly, the release of the art material has been very consistently staggered and controlled.  So there appears to be some sort of coordination afoot to keep the fans interested.   To what end?

Secondly, Marvel has published many art books long after films or tv series have come out.  A good example is Hawkeye.  The art book came out many months after the series.  Is there anyone that believes Hawkeye gets an art book but not Alien Dimulus?

Also, thirdly, Titan isn't talking about an art book so it doesn't appear to be in their radar.  You could be sure that they would have spoken about it if it was going to happen.  I think they e been instructed to stay silent about it.
