Share or discuss any piece of bizarre entertaining: cult films, odd TV series, creepy video games, spocky toys, weird cartoons, obscure musical videos, rare magazines or comics and anything with a upsetting atmosphere. That said

With a little amount of dialog, this original anime film has been labeled as animated art rather than a story.

A surreal sci-fantasy short from hungary. From IMDb:

"The Sun and the Moon is stolen by a vicious creature. Can the humans get back, what they need for their life?"

John Carpenter & Giger would be proud of this animated music video.

Scene form the experimental japanese film "Funky Forest"  :-X

Here is the whole thing

^I love the movies of the 70s too. That particular vibe was pure quality in this one. Plus, the frog stopping the vinyl was like "this party is over grandpa". Oh and the ride with the hero carrying the gun,  it's a whole lost world really

That was a nice eco terror flick btw, especially given the world contingence  :-X

Liquid Sky (1982)

Quote from: IMDbInvisible aliens in a tiny flying saucer come to Earth looking for heroin. They land on top of a New York apartment inhabited by a drug dealer and her androgynous, bisexual nymphomaniac lover, who's also a fashion model. The aliens soon find the human pheromones created in the brain during orgasm preferable to heroin, and the model's casual sex partners begin disappearing. This increasingly bizarre scenario's observed by a lonely woman in the building across the street, a German scientist who's following the aliens, and an equally androgynous, drug-addicted male model (both models are played by Anne Carlisle). Darkly funny and thoroughly weird.

Bee

General Attributes

Bees are the smallest of birds. They are born from the bodies of oxen, or from the decaying flesh of slaughtered calves; worms form in the flesh and then turn into bees. Bees live in community, choose the most noble among them as king, have wars, and make honey. Their laws are based on custom, but the king does not enforce the law; rather the lawbreakers punish themselves by stinging themselves to death. Bees are afraid of smoke and are excited by noise. Each has its own duty: guarding the food supply, watching for rain, collecting dew to make honey, and making wax from flowers.

Fire stones

General Attributes

Found in the East, fire stones are either male or female. As long as they are kept apart, they are safe, but if a male and female stone are brought together, they ignite a fire that burns everything.

Dragon

General Attributes

The dragon's strength is found in its tail, not in its teeth. Its lashing tail does great harm, and the dragon kills anything it catches in its coils. The dragon is the enemy of the elephant, and hides near paths where elephants walk so that it can catch them with its tail and kill them by suffocation. It is because of the threat of the dragon that elephants give birth in the water. The dragon's venom is harmless. The dragon has a crest and a small mouth. When the dragon is drawn from its hole into the air, it stirs up the air and makes it shine. Dragons are found in India and Ethiopia. Dragons are afraid of the peridexion tree and stay out of its shadow, which will harm them. Doves roost in the tree to be safe from the dragon. Dragons cannot stand the sweet smell breathed out by the panther and hide in a hole when the panther roars.

I'm not the biggest fan of Creepypasta, but this one has its merits

Quote from: TV TropesNES Godzilla Creepypasta (Blogspot mirror here) is the work of sprite artist Cosbydaf. It relies on a combination of first person narrative and edited videogame screencaps to tell its story.

One day, Zachary, our protagonist, is given a bunch of NES games by an old friend of his. Being an enormous Godzilla fan, he starts with a nostalgic favorite, Godzilla: Monster of Monsters. Shortly after beginning, he finds that the game is glitched, presumably from a hack. At first he's delighted to find that the game includes monsters that weren't in the original. He becomes suspicious when he faces extremely recent Godzilla enemies from films that came out long after the game's release.

Things take on a decidedly darker turn as a shapeshifting beast known only as "Red" appears, displaying awareness of Zach's existence; from there, environments become ever more sinister, cheesy monsters transform into indescribable abominations, and twisted worlds spawn, seemingly independent of Zach or even the game itself. The game reveals knowledge about Zach that it couldn't possibly have as the mind games of the insidious entity leading it all grow more and more aggressive...

Wow! That was really compeling. Too bad Denis Villeneuve is not interested in Alien, because those 11 minutes of short film have more subtext than 4 hours of Alien prequels.

On the other hand it is something similar to this recent Netflix product.

"We carefully keep and conserve all specimens. That's the rule. Our clients can, of course, visit them, when they so desire. But most people never return... enclose, separate and end.

Nobody brings objects to look back on over and over again, with nostalgia over and over again."

The Ring Finger (L'Annulaire).

A dream-like erotic story about a young lady who, after suffering a work accident, leaves her factory and finds a job as an assistant in a strange laboratory were she start an intense relationship with her even more stranger boss. It's based on the Japanese novel Kusuriyubi no hyōhon by Yōko Ogawa.

One of Japan's largest condom companies, Okamoto Industries, created its own anime series to promote safe sex.

The anime is called "Condom Battler Goro" and you can find a lot of references to popular anime series like Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Fist of the North Star and Yu-Gi-Oh.

The story follows Goro, a 24-year-old guy who dreams of being the best "Condom Battler", and who uses a condom that when opened turns into an armor that covers his body.

"Moebius's art style influenced anime artists so heavilly in the 1980s that for a brief time, the anime like this was indistinguishable from what it was paying respect respect to Moebious. Makoto Kobayashi was one of this artists."

"In Curious Alice (1971), a film intended for eight to ten year olds, our young Alice falls asleep while reading a book. She encounters cigarettes, liquor, and medicines, and realizes that they are all types of drugs. When she sees the "Drink Me" bottle, she understands that it contains something like a drug, yet after a half-second's consideration, she drinks the entire bottle and enters a fantasy world. In Drug Wonderland, Alice learns about the hard stuff from her new friends the Mad Hatter (LSD), the March Hare (amphetamines), the Dormouse (barbiturates), and the King of Hearts (heroin). The events of Curious Alice play out as an expression of Alice's drug trip. Unfortunately, the trip is kind of fun and effectively cancels out the film's anti-drug message."
