Ok, so I have seen a few posts on this matter..
I was just wondering if anyone can go into greater detail about just what exactly the plans involving this were?
Apparently, the Predalien was going to be able to cloak and use the Predator cannon. They also had a subplot of him skinning Predators and they apparently filmed it, but then deleted the scene. A compromise between the Strauses and FOX.
cool. makes them even more scary if she can do this. I think the invisble thing is way out there though. She'd have to have one of thier suits for that right?
somehow i can imagine the Predalien donning the suit..lol
I wonder if that Tom Rothman came up with all this stuff. He just seems like that type of guy.
That's nonsense. That makes as much sense as a normal alien using an assault rifle.
Despite all the flak we give them, I am glad the Strauses stood there ground and didn't allow FOX to f**k the Predalien up that much.

No, they are that stupid. They filmed it actually skinning Predators, but thankfully they deleted it.

They made an anime on the original manga. I just watched about 10 minutes of it...it's like Hokuto Shinken, but without the novelty. :-\

I knew that's what those skinned Predator bodies were all about...I'm SO happy that they took that scene out. The PredAlien should not have Predator abilities. It's just an Alien with Predator features. If I saw the PredAlien skinning, cloaking or using any Predator tech, I would be pissed.
Predalien using pred tech.....FOOLS. Glad there not doing it. Whats there next idea aliens giving candy to predators and predators playing soccer with humans, glad the bros stood there ground.

Aye...many of the forum members don't agree with some of the Strauses portrayal of the aliens/predalien, but the truth of the matter is that they do care about the creatures and have tried their best to come up with an entertaining movie that will satisfy fans

Yea even though this is their first movie its not really "their movie"
They were kinda forced to work of the original script but thankfully had some leverage ove what was actually put into the final theatrical cut.
So was this some "genius" at fox to have this Predalien using pred-tech oe was this in Shane's script?
Regardless of whose idea this was, that someone thought technology and hunting practices carried down through Predator DNA would fly with the fanbase (much less the general audience) in the form of the PredAlien really concerns me.
I don't care if it was Davis, Salerno, or the Strause's. Whoever pitched these craptastic ideas shouldn't have a say in either franchise anymore.

It's a stupid idea, but a lot of fans have talked about it in the past. If this actually happened in the film, what little respect I have for AvP:R and the Bros would be flushed down the crapper.
AS for FOX... Well, I never had any respect for them anyway.
