tl;dr are these the Wii U graphics lately because they look a lot worse than the E3 footage.

So the E3 trailer (link here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fHv4wQJfSY#ws) looks very good graphically, and has good lighting, and the only real negative thing I had to say is that both the alien and human blood look cheesy. This was the beta however, so all things considered, very impressive and needing only a little tuning to the blood. Notice the fire as well, looks pretty decent especially considering how much trouble animating fire has given designers in the past.

Now look at the survivor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbF4xozplqg#ws) and story trailers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQTxxCnMWJw#ws). The graphics look like mid-era PS2 graphics, and very disappointing as I know the graphics will hold me back from getting completely immersed as is. The fire looks terrible, and the way the Aliens explode into mist and then limb segments that plop to the ground even though the alien apparently exploded, leave a bad taste in my mouth.

All I can think of is the recent graphics are the Wii U version, or they made this trailers awhile ago and are only now releasing them. Thoughts, or am I alone here?

The Wii U is significantly more powerful than the PS3 and 360 though.

I am going to guess that they are running the game on low or medium settings for the trailers for some reason. Some of the textures are pretty terrible, but that may just be an issue with the Unreal Engine. The Unreal Engine makes some things, especially humans look like they are made out of clay. Something about how light falls on people looks very weird on the Unreal Engine.

Hardly it is a slight jump, just like a high powered pc. Ps4xbox will leap frog it .
The problem with the trailers is your watching it on you tube the positives are still there like lighting but some of the negatives will hopefully not be there on a larger screen that isn't buffering/compressing/lower resolution

I can assure you that blood is fixed in post production along with other minor details that are meant to be addressed on a later stage of development, that's part of the production pipeline. Graphic wise the game will look great on a PC and maybe your right, there are plenty of scenes in this trailer that aren't showing the true potential of the modified Unreal 3 engine. Not to mention that Sega is struggling to boost their sales among the market frenzy between Microsoft and Sony.
