The canceled version of A:CM for the PS2 (Read 1,304 times)

So I found some pics of the canceled 2001 version of A:CM that I had never seen before (or just don't remember).  I know these aren't the kinds of pics people are waiting for but I thought it was interesting to see them again anyway.  The first three pics on the linked page are new to me.  The human skins look like Half-Life rejects and the backgrounds look like something out of Star Trek rather than Aliens.

I would've bought this game back in the day no matter what.  I was really disappointed when it was canceled but maybe it was all for the better.  A horrible A:CM for the PS2 could have very well buried the chance of the new A:CM making its way to current next-gen consoles.

Here's what I think would be the most amazing thing; a special edition of the new A:CM to come with the unfinished beta version of A:CM for the PS2...sorta like the Alien3 workprint bootleg that use to float around the internet for years before Fox released it on the Quadrilogy DVD set.  I know that the legal entanglements between EA (developers of the canceled version for the PS2) and SEGA would be intense over this and the likelihood of this happening is very near impossible but the nerd in me thinks it would be completely awesome.

Some of those screens aren't half bad.
