gameinformer stated that it takes place after A3 when marines find the abandoned Sulocco;
so what could the intro movie be like?
i'd be cool if it opened with ripley sacrificing herself and it fades out to he new marines  :o

Every single movie in the franchise begins with a space ship floating through space.  I don't think Ripley needs to make an appearance in this game...even if it is just in the intro.  As a matter of fact, they could completely leave out a cinematic intro in this game and it would be fine with me.  I'm more interested in how the story ties into the series as the player progresses through it.  I would also like to see the writers try to give a feasible explanation about how the egg got on the Sulaco in the beginning of Alien3...

Start with the fire on the Sulaco and the EEV evac.  Then cut to 'X Years Later' with the Sulaco adrift.

I think it's odd the game is being tied to the franchise only b/c games usually aren't considered canon, if at all.

EU writers often treat their work as if it's canonical.  They write it to fit.

and GB are notorious for authenticity stickle-ness.

I think Ripley shouldn't even be hinted at in the game.

No...  I don't want a recap of Alien 3 or any other alien movie.  The story should stand on it's own.  Maybe a mission briefing at the start would be cool - explaining how they sent marines and then lost contact before they found an abandoned Sulaco.

Private Hudson

I want it to take place between Alien 3 and Alien: Res.

I liked that idea.

Ripley falls to her death along with her newly birthed Daughter.They both hit the  lead as Bishop screams.Just then,United States Colonial Marines burst through the Door with orders to arrest everyone here.

Private Hudson

Didn't the men at the end of 3 just go back to the ship? Because it showed them all locking down the prison.

Fiorina was shut down at the end of Alien3 - both cuts.  No marines bursting in.

Private Hudson

It would have been a good idea if the marines weren't a part of the company.
