Feast your eyes on this bloody aftermath in latest Alien: Covenant production still! It’s another day in the run up to the release of the Alien: Covenant teaser trailer and 20th Century Fox are treating us to another production still via the Alien Anthology social media accounts.

The previous theory regarding the cryptic numbers being a countdown in microseconds turned out to be incorrect. There’s a new theory from Le Celticant that these numbers are actually GPS co-ordinates. We’ll find out more with this latest number! The teaser trailer is likely to be released this weekend after the embargo on the Showcase 2017 coverage ends, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day depending on your timezone.

Thanks for the edit Darkness, my phone won't let me post anything other than the link. Looks like a bloody scene in the Med Bay area of the ship. The Med area looks very reminiscent of the Nostromo medical lab, though this one definitely looks a little less 'futuristic' if you like. Design wise it certainly looks like something you would expect to see predate the designs in Alien.

Whatever burst out of a human/animal could independently have had non-red acid blood which was released when people tried to stop/attack "it" - assuming there was an "it" involved. Just the red blood kind of covered up the few splashes of non-red acid blood.

It was general question regarding Neomorphs not that picture itself. Since Neos are not bio-mechanical but only bio (natural) then their blood should be red (maybe different colour?) or at least not acid.

Nice. Looks like something from a Romero movie. I zoomed in to see if I could tell what's on the floor, but I can't discern it. Looks like more than just blood, like someone that fell into a vat of hydrofluoric acid.

It definitely looks as if something came out of the floor / went through the floor.
If you look closely around the edges of the blood splatter you can see floor tiles that have been bent upwards and stuff. I found a fairly decent image here

Just thinking aloud...I've read reports of back-bursters and ting...what if the unlucky host ends up being dragged through the hole back first...bones cracking and twisting as whatever it is, does a runner to escape the medlab. (think a combination of newborn death from resurrection and fiefield crab from Prometheus with a hint of vent scene from A3 but with agonizing screams and crunches) Personally, i would expect more blood in there if there was a body left in the room ya know? everything still seems fairly clean despite the obvious mess. If this is indeed a capture from the movie and not a set photo then where is the source of the blood?

Zoom in on the image. No hole exists. No bent floor panels. It's just the way the fluid has been moved; the greater concentrations are darker by default. The floor remains undamaged.
It's just a part on the floor where something messy took place, that's all. Going by it also being on the examination table, my guess is that something happened to someone there, who then tried to stand up until they exploded/whatever. Imagine if Shaw hadn't managed to extract her squidlet in time and tried to get out of the medical pod as it birthed. Basically that.
